Dec 03,2020I would certainly recommend Anthony Mack and his colleagues at Mack Solicitors should anyone I know ever require legal aid. Each stage was well communicated throughout which made the legal process far more efficient and simple than I’d imagined it to be. Given that my claim has taken place during Covid-19 I am especially impressed as despite the turbulence covid has caused, communication from Mack's has not faltered and everything, from my medical assessment to email responses has remained outstanding and more importantly, efficient. My case was originally down by another popular local firm, therefore, I am extremely grateful for Mack's taking on my case and winning.

They keep you informed of costs - which are reasonably priced anyway and updated every step of the way. Overall I would rate my experience as 2nd to none.

Oct 28,2020We've recently been on an 8 month journey of buying our first home. After enduring a 3 month Covid delay on our first homebuyers survey on the original house we were looking to purchase (which didn't turn out well), we pursued a different house and managed to complete on our dream first home in York this month (October). It's been a long slog, but throughout the process Helen has been a dream, keeping us updated on each step and where we stood in the process as well as advising us on the outcomes of the searches and survey on the first house.The vendors on the 2nd house wanted a quick sale and we wanted a quick purchase, and Helen's swift attention to detail ensured numerous legal points that were not identified in the previous sale on the house 3 years ago were addressed this time around, displaying comprehensive focus on all legal matters that may have been missing from the process last time, and we still managed to do this in under 3 months. Considering the extreme circumstances we find ourselves in with Covid and the slow pace on the lenders side, we really couldn't have asked for a better legal partner to keep us sane the past few months, with really excellent advice on where we stood if purchasing the original house. Oct 27,2020Very disappointing service I am very disappointed with my experience of the conveyancing team and particular my solicitor Helen Preston. I received very little information throughout the process of selling and buying and what I did receive, I had to push for. In some cases, misinformation was given out, to me and other parties, causing distress. Also I had a dream bungalow lined up but unfortunately lost this due to whatever was said in reply to a question asked by the vendor, of said bungalow, which then caused the vendor to withdraw completely from the process. I cannot begin to tell you how sad and angry, this made me. I WILL NEVER, EVER RECOMMEND MACK'S conveyancing team and Helen Preston, to anyone.

Oct 07,2020I engaged Macks Solicitors in March, to work on my divorce case, and was put in touch with Nicole Winward, a paralegal who worked on the matrimonial side of things in this respect, and at a later stage, Jane Carey & her secretary Sophie Fisher, who worked on the financial side. From that day until its completion, in September, I have had nothing short of excellent service in every respect, from all concerned. I particularly consider myself extremely lucky to have been appointed at the outset, Nicole, who was not only speedy, courteous and very knowledgeable (I could go on), but also a joy to speak to, during the telephone calls I had with her. I think that Macks Solicitors, and myself have both been blessed in respect of her work. I also would like to say I received equal treatment from Jane and Sophie as well, who between them all brought my case to a final conclusion, well in advance of the projected date given to me at the start, and inside the projected cost.
