I paid just under $700 for a procedure that my regular provider charges my insurance over $4000 dollars which in turn costs me over $1200. The scariest part is getting your healthcare provider to right the order when it's out of their network. This medical game and everyone trying to capture your dollars is horrifying. Our healthcare system is broken, and I feel for the poor or the people that don't have the means to travel for the best care they can find. If you're from a small rural community and get really sick, get out of there, they'll kill you for sure.
