Medic Mentor (part of Mentorverse LTD) is a social enterprise made up of a UK-wide network of doctors, medical students, secondary students, parents and teachers. We reinvest into a variety of effective educational, pastoral and extra-curricular activities that support the doctors of tomorrow. We believe that it is absolutely vital to ensure that the UK’s doctors are happy, healthy and successful, because this will ultimately have a positive impact on the health of the population. We aim to do this by connecting incredible mentors with incredible students using the power of mentoring. We need great doctors in our NHS now more than ever, and Medic Mentor is committed to supporting these future doctors with their applications and throughout medical school.

My experience with medic mentor has been all round very positive, the summer school was incredibly useful. Having a free way to access virtual work experience is great, but I would say that some of the times the video/audio leaves something to be desired. My main issue with medic mentor is the incessant emails, it feels like every day that I get emails for new things. Which while at first is useful, there are only so many times you can be emailed about the same meetings before it is annoying. Even worse is the frequency with which emails are just advertisements, advertisements for something that I have already purchased. This would not be so bad if it was possible to select what emails you want to receive, but it is an all or nothing system (I emailed the support a while back). So either you get unending spam emails and access the programme you paid for or you don't get anything. As for the UCAT prep it felt a little repetitive but thats not really the fault of medic mentor, the question banks were also a little problematic at times but thats likely beyond their control. Everyone I have interacted with at medic mentor has been lovely and seems to truly care about the people they interact with, it seems like a waste to sour this over something as easy as a mailing list. Summer school (platinum pathway) 7/10 (price) UCAT 8.5/10 (exactly what you'd expect) Communications 4.5/10 (perfectly fine except the spam)
This experience was great as it gave us an insight into medicine, with the knowledge given I'm able to take this journey further!
Really informative and useful.
Very insightful and helpful
It was good 👍
Very Detailed and includes advice for everyone not just older years
great informative conference, thank you
The bronze conference was very comprehensive and allows students to make an informed decision as to whether medicine is for them. And it's free!
Very informative! Gain valuable insights that show what to do and not to do. Taught us how to be smart and innovative, things that i have not learnt in school. Attending this conference will also allow access to an obgyn work experience. Thank you.
Extremely informational and helps you to know what to do in the application process.
It was very good and I though it was very useful to join
It was insightful, interesting and the leaders were quite interactive and clear which made the experience quite enjoyable.
Amazing, dr was really engaging and answered everyone’s questions!
It was easy to understand and really useful
Amazing members of staff, amazing doctors and amazing teachers made the conference very enjoyable and understanding boosted my confidence
All questions will be answered at the end (just be patient enough)
Lots of incredible mentors whether that be doctors, dentists or students who create a family-like community. So many opportunities to get involved in that are extremely useful for both professional development and using your experiences to help educate and support others with their journey.
it was very informative
I thought it was really great that they wee able to make some time to answer a lot of our questions, and be completely honest with us. I also feel like much of my stress has been relived now that I have a much better idea of what I'm doing and should be doing.

Oct 03,2024It was an eventful and impactful evening that taught the step by step pathway into medicine quite clearly, and all questions I may have had bear the beginning had been answered thoughtfully and in great depth. My only qualm with the experience was the necessity for the presence of parents/guardians, though the condition was definitely needed due to the lack of professionalism some participants had exhibited within the chat.
