Medic Mentor (part of Mentorverse LTD) is a social enterprise made up of a UK-wide network of doctors, medical students, secondary students, parents and teachers. We reinvest into a variety of effective educational, pastoral and extra-curricular activities that support the doctors of tomorrow. We believe that it is absolutely vital to ensure that the UK’s doctors are happy, healthy and successful, because this will ultimately have a positive impact on the health of the population. We aim to do this by connecting incredible mentors with incredible students using the power of mentoring. As someone who loves reading, the lectures at the end of the day about medical ethics was one of the most interesting topics. Overall, if you’re looking to crack away at your personal statement and make some amazing friends, Medic Mentor’s Summer School is 100% for you !

I do think that there should be more days in which interview practice is needed and more variety of food. But overall was a very good experience.

It also informs you of different techniques which you should use during the interview. All of the mentors were really helpful and friendly throughout the whole experience.

Aug 28,2024The one to one support during the personal statement crafting was really helpful and I left with a personal statement beyond my expectations. The extra lectures regarding topics such as wider reading were really helpful and helped me further my knowledge preparing me for the interview side of the application process. Last but not least, staff, mentors and the other students made the summer school a memorable experience.
