Jun 25,2023I ordered a base to go with my umbrella and the first one arrived damaged with a small leak when we added water. Luckily, the customer service is TOP NOTCH, and they had a replacement on the way immediately! It’s sturdy and sleek looking too. Great product and great company! Will definitely buy from them again! Easy five stars!

Jun 25,2023The $300 base wouldn’t hold the big umbrella, wind blew it over. MU is making me pay to return it, and I paid full price for the in-ground metal sleeve. Then they sent me an email for $30 off the metal sleeve, but I had already bought it at full price. I’m disappointed with having paid extra all the way around.

Jun 25,2023I am a previous customer of Midtown Umbrella and posted a positive review several months ago regarding their customer service. However, as the saying goes, time will tell. Since my first purchase of an umbrella, I decided to return and purchase another one. This time the experience was totally opposite with less than a favorable outcome. First of all, I did not receive the umbrella I ordered. The color of the pole and the size of the umbrella were not what I ordered. Fortunately, I did print out a copy of my receipt showing my original order. I contacted Midtown Umbrella and was told I ordered a different umbrella despite the fact I emailed a copy of my receipt. Secondly, I was told there were no more of the ordered umbrella in stock and I would have to call them in six weeks to reorder. They did not offer to place an order for me pending their receipt of the umbrellas. In fairness to them, they did say I could use the umbrella until the next shipment came in which I am currently doing. What I did learn is the customer service appears to use an algorithmic approach to their responses based on Zendesk software. My suggestion...make sure you make a copy of your order since they will try to blame their mistake on you, the customer. I guess you can say, "fool me once...." My next umbrella will be purchased elsewhere since they are all basically the same being manufactured in China. On a positive note, they did respond promptly but did not resolve my issue. They simply denied any responsibility for their mistake.

Jun 24,2023I have recently dealt with some large Canadian companies who don't want to stand behind their products. It was so nice to deal with Midtown Umbrellas, a Canadian company who wants to make things right for the customer. We had a stain issue on the inside of our umbrella and contacted Nate at Midtown. He suggested what to try and remove the stain. Upon trying this it did not remove the stain and a replacement canopy was immediately shipped no questions asked. It has been great to deal with a company who wants to make things right. Thank you Nate and Midtown Umbrellas.

Jun 24,2023Delivery time longer than first stated, due in part because of customs paperwork. Umbrella finally arrived. "Navy" stripes are so dark they look black. Looks good though. Hope the quality is long-lasting. Thanks.

Jun 24,2023I spent weeks looking for the perfect umbrella online and in stores. Once I ruled out a cantilever umbrella due to the weight needed to hold the stand, I decided to go in the opposite direction and look at a sturdy tilt umbrella to block the sun from 6-7 pm which is my problem time. I am a 61 yr old woman who lives by herself in the Northeast, so it has to be something I can lift and manage. I ordered the Swilt umbrella in Sunbrella red with cover and the 55 lb stand. I couldn’t be happier. This is a great product and the stand is so sturdy as well as the umbrella pole. I ordered on Mothers Day evening around 9 pm and forgot to enter the Mothers Day promo code. The promo code expired at midnight and was a substantial savings. I called and emailed Midtown. They called and emailed me back. They cancelled my order immediately so I could order again and enter the promo code. I’ve never experienced such Customer service on a Sunday evening! Stop looking and purchase from Midtown! The quality and CS is amazing !!

Jun 21,2023You sent us 2 5’ umbrella’s May 25, 2023, we ordered 1 9’ from Wayfair. We returned both umbrella’s immediately using tracking #3986 7989 1416, 3986 7989 1380 or 3986 7988 9931. These charges remain on our charge card and we are not pleased. if this is not taken care of I will be reporting this to Wayfair where I ordered the umbrella. Judy Barrus
