They are definitely small and upcoming, which is why I decided to go with them over some of the bigger name MD app consulting groups. Emma not only pointed out my weaknesses and how I could improve upon them, but also highlighted my strengths and how I could incorporate them more into our discussions. Overall, she helped prepare me very well for my interview! Becca also did a fantastic drop of answering any questions I had when I initially called and checked in throughout the process to ensure that everything was going great!

The prices are so much more affordable than most other advising services so I was able to use them for my entire application process, from my application to interviews. The whole way, everyone was available and flexible and using motivate MD helped me get into medical school!

Dec 21,2020I am very grateful for all of the guidance and support I received from Motivate MD throughout my medical school application process. So far, I have received seven interview invites and two acceptances, and this would not have been possible without the ultimate acceptance package that I used. Everyone that I worked with was terrific. Becca is incredibly down-to-earth, always there to answer your questions, and truly wants you to succeed. All of my editors were current medical students, and I could not have asked for a better experience. The reviews for my essays were always returned to me within 24-48 hours. My editors were honest and offered input/recommendations which helped me think of ideas that I had not previously considered. They really helped me strengthen my personal statement, work/activities, and secondary essays a substantial amount. Lastly, all of the packages at Motivate MD are a fraction of the cost compared to other companies. You will not find better people to work with, and I highly recommend their services to all medical school applicants!!

Dec 11,2020I submitted 2 essays for review and both were very helpful. The turnaround time was fast and the comments were insightful. In retrospect, I wish I had ordered the package sooner. However the website was a little confusing and I wasn't sure which package to choose. Overall, I would recommend this service to others.

Nov 09,2020I know reviews are often skewed to one side because they're written by people who either really loved a service, or really hated it. With that being said, I rarely leave reviews for that reason. But, I just had to makeup for a prior review I left (I gave motivateMD a 4/5) because I had tried a different "reputable" interview service , and it was so trash I asked for my money back after the interview. I paid $350 so a man could eat popcorn as he interviewed me. Anyway, the point of this post is not to bash that other service who I shall not name (just be wary if you are considering signing up for $350 an hour interview practice/slot), but it is to highlight some of the reasons I recommend motivateMD. First reason, Becca, the person who communicates with you and sends you confirmations, is so sweet and very helpful. Secondly, the interviewers, who are med students themselves, are so amazing. I know other services offer "physician interviewers," but those are the same ones who tend to not care about the students. I have had two mock interviewers, Emma and Sean (sorry if you two are humble souls but had to shout you guys out) who were phenomenal in the feedback they gave me. Of course the experience won't be the same for everyone, we all have different starting points, but know that the team really does work to ensure you feel confident or at least, assured, when going into interviews. Thirdly, even after your mock interview, there is not only feedback given, but a feedback form!! Also, they record the session for you, rather than telling you to record it. And the thing I LOVED THE MOST, the interviewers tell you that you can email them if you have any questions. Keep in mind, they are busy medical students and are still making the time for you. Lastly, the price is very affordable, and think certain times of the year, a coupon option is available so look that up and you get some money off (even though I feel the service is very worth the price.) MotivateMD is one of the least expensive interview prep programs I have come across, but also the best in my experience (but I've only experienced one other so idk how reliable I am.) I hope the prices always stay this fair and that they continue to grow in the success of their business, but most importantly, in helping students feel confident in their interviewing skills.

Trust me, I’ve tried. During my application cycle, I used multiple application editing services and this by far was the best one. I wanted to make a valuable investment in my application and expected quality and informed feedback, timeliness of services, and greater confidence, and MotivateMD far exceeded my standards. Becca and the team are easy to contact, sincerely empathetic and encouraging, and genuinely desire to see you succeed. I worked really hard to get to the point where I would be accepted to medical school, but MotivateMD helped me make my experiences and story shine in the best way possible.
