My daughter has a maths tutor and a English tutor who are excellent and my daughter has gained in confidence and knowledge through their expertise. I would highly recommend My Tutor.
I was at first sceptical as to how on-line tutoring would work but after a really helpful conversation with one of the tutor experts we were very quickly put in touch with a student who I can only describe as the perfect tutor for my daughter. The platform is reliable and easy to navigate with very efficient safeguards in place. I eagerly recommend the site to anyone who is looking for a tutor, it’s a great concept and has been the perfect solution for us.
Finding a tutor is so important and we were lucky enough to find someone who is working in the same profession that my son hopes to do. She made my son feel at ease straight away and he is making progress. It has taken any worry away from me too as a parent when you want the best for them and to find the support they need to move on to the next step in their life journey.
My daughter as been having GCSE tutoring from the wonderful Maia, to prepare her for her exams. She still has a while to go, but the additional confidence Maia has instilled in her has been worth every penny.
The system is awful. Firstly, it books a load of lessons which you have not asked for. Secondly, it is not flexible. For example for a Monday I had originally booked an RS tutor for a particular time. However, this didn't fit in with my timetable. I wanted to book instead a maths tutor for the same time on a Monday for the following week, changing the RS tutor to same time BUT A DIFFERENT day of the week. It kept saying there was a clash even though I had cancelled the lessons for RS so I could book the maths tutor for the following Monday. Update - 13th March - The RS lesson booked for 3rd March did not take place because of technical errors - not being able to access the learning platform. I have been charged for this. Still awaiting refund. Looks like I will have to write a letter to the Managing Director requesting this refund. Other online learning sites don't have their systems set up where the system automatically books loads of lessons going months ahead including August. Thank you for your response. I have emailed that address several times and I am still awaiting a refund because the learning platform was not working on 3rd March therefore lesson did not take place. UPDATE: 28/03/25 I have received £25 refund for the lesson which did not take place due to platform not working.
Our tutor has been really helpful in aiding our son with his English GCSE. Each lesson has a structure and I receive a personalised report after each session.
My daughter is enjoying every lesson. Her tutor Mahek is amazing and always finds the way to explain topics well😊
Neither my son nor the tutor could log on the MyTutor system as it was not available, so a significant part of the lesson was lost. They initially refused to refund the part of the lesson lost. The lesson has now been refunded. Thank you MyTutor
My 13-year-old son was very hesitant about getting a tutor, and it took a lot of convincing to get him to agree. From my first conversation with MyTutor, I felt they really listened to his needs and carefully matched him with two tutors who suited his personality. It was a tough choice since both were fantastic, but we decided on Alex—and we couldn’t be happier. He makes learning engaging, provides valuable feedback after each session, and best of all, my son never complains about his lessons. We've already seen a significant improvement in his grades!
Very good experience working with mytutor.co.uk, the sessions have been helpful.
Good platform and calling features and tutor was very efficient. Taught better than many teachers I've had, with good understanding and engagement.
Services are easy to use and the tutors are great!
We are using two tutors: biology and psychology. My son's grades have been raised in both subjects. I was hesitant at first but the results prove the tutor route is working for us. Both tutors are effective, good communicators and they are raising the grades for my son.
Very supportive and tailored to the needs of my soon. Elizabeth helped him to prepare for tests and mock A-level and we are looking forward to working with her again closer to Biology A-levels
My daughter is takiling GCSE English and Maths classes, We are very happy to say that tutors are very helpful and focusing on my daughter expectations, Tutors are very professional. Overall satisfaction is very high.I would recommend parents to use this opporunity when childs needed better guidance on GCSE exams.
We've found a great maths tutor for our son on MyTutor. It's an excellent service. Works for us!
My son has never wanted to have a tutor but he is really benefiting from his one to one sessions. He asks questions he wouldn’t at school and can go at the pace he wants. He enjoys the lessons too!
Two months in... MyTutor has a solid range of tutors, across all topics and levels. They do a good job of presenting you with options, and if one doesn't work out (as was the case with us), you can easily swap out for another. As well as good tutor options, the platform itself works well, with video feeds complemented by a shared space for writing and sketching. That makes it better than a plain Zoom/Teams call. Tech support and sales seem to be strong teams too, so we would strongly recommend.
Excellent Tutors - very knowledgeable and helpful. My son is really benefitting from your help.
