Apr 06,2022Ben helped my wife and I purchase our new home. Ben worked very hard to not only get us the best mortgage possible, but was great at demystifying the application process. Ben is an excellent communicator, who is very patient and is great at explaining things. Having a high pressured job whereby I spend alot of time in meetings makes having personal calls during the day tough. Ben was very accommodating. He had numerous calls with me in the evening to keep the application moving and answer questions we had. I've already referred a colleague to Ben given the great experience we had.

Ben explained the process and options incredibly well and turned what could have been an incredibly stressful and difficult time into a smooth process. He helped me understand my options, what I could afford and under what circumstances. I was particularly impressed how fast the process was completed - having heard from others how difficult theirs was. Ben made such a big impact and managed to arrange everything in the short timeframe that I’d been given by the developer. Am so happy with the result and can only recommend!

Given the pandemic and the stamp duty holiday this process has been more frustrating that normal and we are finally moving house in January 2022. The support we have received from Octopus has been first class, as inexperienced house buyers we were weary of the process and yet have been reassured every step along the way: nothing has been too much trouble, no question has been unanswered and everything has been handled with urgency, understanding and professionalism. We were able to seek advice from everything from negotiating prices to searches and mortgages. Without the support we have received I believe this would have been unmanageable and I thank Ben for his considerable effort. At a time when everything was more stressful I am blessed to have had such excellent advice and support.

I am glad I signed up with Ben to proceed, because I was very worried but actually he made the whole process smooth. Ben was very responsive (usually between instant reply and within the day) to all of my queries. The whole journey did not take that long in my case, which I am very grateful that I got the offer from bank in time for my completion.
