Aug 19,2023I have just completed Instructor Training with Nuco. Many things exceeded my expectations. The venue was excellent - professional, comfortable, welcoming and created a great environment for learning. Glenn, who led the whole week, is absolutely fabulous! He has a great sense of humour, yet is also very knowledgeable and experienced. He kept each day running smoothly and ensured that ground rules were abided to, which facilitated objectives being met in a timely way. Glenn is also an engaging teacher, who draws the whole group in. Learning is not boring with Glenn! He has a wonderful way of explaining things in a meaningful, clear way. Glenn is an absolute gem and a real asset to Nuco. I was also impressed with the preparation from Glenn and Nuco for the course. The folders, books, student first aid pack, paperwork - the quality and attention to detail is outstanding. Books were provided during the week on : First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid, CPR - AED, Oxygen Therapy Administration and Management of Anaphylaxis. My only disappointment was that Paediatric First Aid was not backed up with any specific teaching, whilst all the other topics were covered. Also, there was not a folder with Tutor notes for Paediatric First Aid, which was provided for all the other qualifications this course enables you to teach. This was not what I was expecting, since I had specifically explained my plans to teach Paediatric First Aid when booking this course. Despite this I am still very pleased to have attended and successfully completed the Nuco course. I enjoyed the week, have learned so much and received fantastic teaching.

Jul 30,2023Nuco remains my preferred training organisation (linked with FAA as awarding body) for First Aid Training. I have experienced a lot of First Aid training over the last 30 years, so have experienced the frequent 'opinion and hearsay' techniques that dominate other training organisations. I particularly like the 'requal' format where learning from others is encouraged, but in a format that gives flexibility, utilises the strengths and experiences of candidates, yet drives out the misconceptions (if they were to occur). Course materials are up to date with latest recommendations and guidelines. Trainers are encouraged to use their own style, as long as it stays within Nuco guidelines. Nuco is the market leader for independent first aid trainers for good reason. They keep my business.

Jul 22,2023I am sure this has been said many times, but I have to say it as it’s my first experience of Lee & NUCO. NUCO have been extremely professional in their approach to this subject and compare very favourably against other providers I have had experience with. Lee's knowledge and experience really contributed to the excellent quality of the course. His skills online were particularly good and as an new instructor I learnt so much by just watching him. He was able to deliver the very important elements within the timescales of the course while ensuring we understood them. If I can be half as good as Lee, I think I will do OK. Many thanks to Lee & NUCO.

The course was delivered by a fantastic and sympathetic trainer, which to be honest was also assisted by having a great group of fellow trainee instructors. I would definitely recommend people to take this instructor course.
