Ocean Estate Agents have been selling Bristol homes of all shapes and sizes – large and small, grand ¬and modest, smart and not so smart… for all kinds of people since 1984.
Founder Paul Harris started the business over 40 years ago with Ocean Bishopston on Gloucester Road, and there are now 12 local offices across the city including one in Portishead and Weston super Mare.
Their ethos is very much ‘people before property’, with the emphasis on looking after the individuals and families buying or selling their homes, to make what is often a challenging experience, as worry-free as possible.
Ocean’s teams, reflect the culturally rich communities of this wonderful city, spanning a diverse mix of ages and backgrounds from across Bristol.
It is also very much a family business. Many of the team have grown up and started their own families whilst working for Ocean – they even have some second generation ‘Oceaners’ now working for the company.

Richard was brilliant at a time where mortgage rates were changing almost daily, he dealt with numerous phone calls/e-mails from me per week without complaint and kept me updated constantly with prices and the best mortgage provider. He was professional, knowledgeable and polite and was brilliant throughout, got us a great mortgage at a great rate, if it wasn’t for Richard my mortgage would be at least an extra £100 a month if not more. Although the branch was about to close, Amelia forwarded our interest straight away which ensured we received the application form that night and the whole process was complete within less than 24 hours. Amelia was prompt and approachable in all matters.

The attention to detail, the communication, and accessibility to both the sales team and the conveyance team has been excellent. Matt , Paul and in particular jack who went the extra mile to help us even on his Easter weekend has been excellent. The whole team did an excellent job managing all the viewings using up to date technology so we knew who was coming and got immediate feedback while Claire , who managed our conveyance was second to none on all our dealings with her as well as the team working with her.
