When Planet Beauty opened in sunny Newport Beach, California in 1992, we didn’t agree with the definition of a beauty retailer. Rows of little beauty counters crowded inside busy department stores surrounded by mazes of packed parking lots…mega-mall monotony. This was not our definition of beauty. So, we decided to create a curated beauty haven in convenient neighborhood locations. We provided professional beauty brands as well as trending products and innovative newcomers. We developed a structured educational program to ensure the best and the brightest beauty advisors in our stores. And we decided we were going to have our own definition of beauty. And for over 25 years, we’ve done just that. 37 locations and a successful website later, we deliver more than just the best in makeup, skincare, haircare, styling tools, bath and fragrance. We redefined what beauty means to us, and most importantly, to you.

I especially love the hair products, and accessories. I’ve not experienced any negative customer service in stores. Employees are helpful and knowledgeable on products as well as cosmetology. Feb 08,2025Update: 2/13/25: I changed my ranking from 1 star to 4 stars. I have received my items and all is redeemed because the prices offered here are definitely better than other sites I've used. Original post: I placed an order on 01/30, Planet Beauty created a shipping label on 1/31 so that they could charge my credit card, but as of today 2/8 the items have not been shipped. I've called their CS number (went to voicemail) and sent an email yesterday but received no response!!! I've ordered with other skincare sites (Emstore and Skin Store) numerous times and Planet Beauty is the 1st to be so unresponsive. Seems like a scam site rather than a legitimate business site!!
