We recently enlisted the services of Purple Bricks and had one of their partners, Gavin Southern, come to do a valuation of our property. As soon as Gavin arrived, it was clear he was very knowledgeable in his field. Gavin was very thorough when going around the property so we felt that the valuation was far from cursory. Not only was he very helpful in advising us on what the house was worth, he had a clear understanding of the local property market and what was selling (and at what price). We felt reassured following Gavin's visit and acted promptly on his advice.

The agent arrived on time and took an interest in everything we showed her, as well as asking us appropriate questions. She explained the selling process clearly and her report arrived via email the same day. We found the experience helpful and were not made to feel pressurised into making rapid decisions.
349 days on the market - 1 viewer - valued way too high hence no interest. Still waiting for a board to be put up ! I’ve sold a property with Purple Bricks before and the service was excellent but since they’ve been taken over it’s pretty diabolical now. I WILL be seeking professional advice from the Property Ombudsman. I’ve filled a complaints form in a few times now as I want my money back but just get ignored.
Lovely people | speedy service We listed our house on 9/2 and had two viewings – followed by two offers – the next day. The viewings carried on for the next couple of days, and by 14/2 it was sold. Our main contact – James – was helpful, professional and available for us to call or message. Literally could not fault this service. Ps. The day before listing with Purple Bricks I contacted three well known estate agents for a quote, and to this day (20/2) NONE of them have replied.

Good service with very clear useful information
After a slightly bumpy start where I had trouble contacting our valuation expert, our experience with Purple Bricks has since gone well. When I accidentally set up two accounts on two different email addresses, they were helpful in transferring the information and progress so far to the new account. We were then passed to Carlo Cocuzzi who got in touch to say he would be carrying out & organising viewings. Our experience with Carlo was very positive as we received an offer on our first day of viewings. We have accepted and now hope the rest of the process continues smoothly.
Diane Armstrong has been exceptionally helpful from day one. Her expertise and professionalism have been evident throughout the entire sale process, and she has patiently answered all our questions. Managing the sale from abroad could have been challenging, but Diane’s excellent communication made it seamless. She was always available to address our concerns and provided valuable guidance every step of the way. As first-time sellers, we truly appreciated her support. Overall, our experience with Purplebricks has been smooth, and we’re confident we made the right choice.
The agent didn’t turn up
I have had an excellent experience with purple bricks especially with Charlotte who kept me informed at every stage and answered all my questions quickly.
This was sent to purplebricks on the 15th February. As yet, nobody has acknowledged receipt of my complaint. I did everything asked after commenting on a facebook post where other disgruntled clients were finding their experience similar to ours. In my opinion, steer clear of this shambolic company, especially the Wakefield part and their non transparent agent Heather Hall. We found out yesterday after a call with Naz Mola that our property advert was going to expire in 32 days as we were reaching 6 months on the market. Your sales agent who came and valued our property (Heather Hall) neglected to tell us this even when we asked if there were any clauses we should be aware of we were told absolutely not! I said I was wary of purplebricks as I'd heard not so good reports. We were told since you had merged with Strike your services were so much improved. I hardly think being dishonest and not transparent warrants an improved rating. I reduced my property after a few weeks by 10k even though your agent thought I was being hasty. She also removed some photos as felt they didn't do anything to sell the house. Naz came on the scene and emailed me to suggest I drop the house price by a further 10k or spend more money and auction it! Just remember at this point I have not valued my house or appraised it, YOU HAVE! I am not an estate agent nor do I profess to known the market, that's your job. So, from this I feel you have got it wrong!!! Then Naz called eventually to speak to us yesterday and advised me that my agreement was coming to an end and to keep our listing live we either reduce it dictated by you or we start paying again. I told her I had no idea what she was talking about and all I got was, check your agreement. If Heather Hall had been honest and transparent and told us listing's expire we would NOT have paid out over £800 upfront to you. Blindsided, dishonest and robbed. Absolutely shame on you and now will endeavour to make sure anyone I hear it considering purplebricks does not engage your services. You are a disgrace! We are using Purplebricks to sell our house and been very happy with the service they have provided. From the first meeting with their valuer James Garland, who was very knowledgeable regarding the value of properties within our area and gave us good advise on the marketing price. We used their photographer for the photos who again was a great guy and both have been very respectful of our property, we also used their photographer photographer for the EPC certificate
Viewings went well and house sold quickly.The app is easy to use . Didn’t realise we had to be the ones who went round when surveyors went to the house . Assumed purple bricks dealt everything when you paid for the top level of service.They just give them key code and leave them to it which we were not comfortable with as house was empty.Overall very pleased, this was a minor hiccup and I would definitely recommend them
Sarah Tuck has exceptional customer service, going above and beyond for us with the sale of our late father’s property. Always on hand to answer any questions, chased up any queries, and as we live 2 hours away, Sarah does all the viewings for us and takes care of everything. Thank you Sarah.
