Still waiting for an Agent to contact me after 4 days!! I contacted the main number, Monday 27th January to relist my home, I was told to check the app where i should be able to set it back to Live! I went through this several times with the operator and found there was no option for me to do this so they said they would do it there end and it take up to 48 hours/2 days, Its now 4 days and its still not live!! I have called every single day (Mon, Tues, Wed and today) asking for any agent to PLEASE call me and still nothing! Absolutly shocking customer service... Now they have responded to my review, but only to ask for more information but not said what info they want??!!! The information is already on the call recordings! Why on earth doesn’t someone with a brain call me 07921740942 like I have asked for the last 4 days? We are nearly into day 5!!!! Shocking customer service, get offline and pick up the telephone…

When we decided to put our house on the market we got several EAs round to value as usual. Valuations were all much the same, some of the people were nasty, slimy pieces of work typical of those who give EAs a bad name. All were quoting about the same fee. It was a no brainer to go with Purple Bricks as choosing a high street EA would cost us £5k - £6K more!! Why would anyone choose to waste that money? When you choose PB be prepared to be relentlessly told by every other EA how rubbish they are and you have made a big mistake! They are very clearly very worried about online agents taking their business! And so they should be; PB offer EVERYTHING the high street agents offer for a fraction of the fee. Yes, everything. The high street guys boring mantras as to why they are better than PB were: 1)"we have local knowledge" 2) "we are experts at showing houses," 3) "we have a database of customers we reach out to." 4) "We negotiate the best price for you because we are incentivised to get the most we can." "Local knowledge" means what? They can value the house accurately? PB were the same. They can answer potential customers questions about the area? So can I! With PB you show viewers around yourself (you can pay to have them do it if you prefer) and I had no problem with doing this. I would suggest I was far better at it than an EA as I was able to answer every question potential buyers asked. I know from my experience of VIEWING houses that was far from the case with EAs showing me around. The big one that I enjoyed throwing back in their faces was the "we contact people who are registered with us and PB don't." I know from being a BUYER as well that if you view a house marketed by PB you are then registered with them and they keep mailing you "you might like this house.." details of other properties; just the same as the other guys. When we had an offer PB were superb at recommending the negotiating steps they felt were right. As soon as I got an offer my dedicated negotiator swung into action, calling me (!) to discuss what I wanted and advise what they thought was a good price etc. Part of deciding who to appoint was putting my buyers hat on and thinking "how do I go about buying a house?" The answer is that I look on Right Move, shortlist the houses I am interested in, book a viewing and buy one. At no point do I need an EA, other than the fact that I have to go through one to arrange a viewing. In fact of the dozen or so houses I viewed 100% of the EAs who did the viewing were one or all of pointless, useless, lying, odious slimy people who added no value to my viewing experience! Throughout the whole time we were on the market my account contact at PB called me regularly to discuss progress, next steps etc. Once we had accepted an offer I was given a sales progressor (who again called me to make contact) who was the contact point for solicitors etc. She was brilliant. To sum up: all of the people at PB I dealt with were professional, helpful, knowledgeable and provided exactly the reassuring service I hoped for. To sell a house all you need is an add on Right Move and expert negotiators and sales progressors. That is all you need to pay an EA for and that is what PB do and do very well. I can see no reason at all to pay many times the price for the same service from a high street EA, no reason at all.

Poor customer service from call centre team. You can tell they don't get commission as they do not care about booking viewings. The 2 times I've tried to book viewings for purple bricks they have been cancelled with no explanation. For the first property I had a call back asking if I would like to book a viewing again, of which I said if you are free to then pleased, I was booked in again and again it cancelled. For the second property I've tried to book on the phone, the woman was really short and rude with me. In the end she said she booked the viewing and hung up. A few hours later the viewing had been cancelled. I'm never going to book a viewing with them again.
Caroline Vimpany helped my parents sell their home as they were downsizing, from the start with her valuation she was very kind and compassionate, understanding it was hard for them to move after many years and explained the process perfectly- Caroline arranged all viewings and on the 1st open day got 3 offers all over asking price!
