Feb 18,2025Received my first order today from Regal fish. Tried the large fish fingers from the sixty pounds worth of fish ordered. They were totally revolting. The smell while cooking was horrendous as was the taste when cooked. One was like a lump of wood. They all went into the bin. I really hope that the rest of the order is better. Very disappointed so far. Can only get better. HOPEFULLY.

Feb 17,2025Very impressed with my first recent delivery of fish from Regal. Trout fillets and unsmoked haddock were exactly as I’d hoped. Served trout fillets with a tasty chive and crème fraiche sauce and used some of the haddock in a Thai red curry. Fab 👍

Feb 17,2025Friendly helpful Staff , they ring each month to ask if you want a delivery they are quite happy for you to not have a delivery and then ring the following month . Fish excellent exceptional choice and sold in small quantities.

Feb 08,2025Ordered 2 premium packs of halibut fillet portions, costing neatly £40 with delivery. What arrived were 2 packs of very thin tail end fillets. It does say that the packs could contain tail portions, but I wouldn't have expected all four to be tail ends and these were very poor. Too thin to have much flavour, and really pieces that would be sold off cheaply in a good fish monger, after the best pieces had sold. I complained before posting this review, but was only offered an apology and a discount code for £10 off a future order. Needless to say, I won't be throwing good money after bad by using it. Premium prices are fine if you provide premium products. This fell dreadfully short of that. Recommend avoiding!

Jan 26,2025Just got my first shipment from them after my great former supplier underwent a disappointing change. All appears good so far. everything arrived frozen or fresh as it should have. They have a nice selection of fresh, prepared, some imported specialities. Had my first - a trout fillet - tonight. It was excellent. Cannot wait to try all the others as I ordered a broad cross section as a test.

Nov 23,2024Well what can I say, this Regal Fish guy knocks on my door yesterday and the wife answers the door, I was not home, I could clearly hear on our security cameras that the wife had repeatedly asked your cold caller to leave and was not interested, but clearly you do not understand no!!! After a good number of minutes later he did finally leave. Maybe extra training should be provided to your staff. I would be interested to see how he would have reacted if it was male home owner that answered the door. My advice is if you see regal fish approaching your front door, don’t open it especially if you are a female or feel vulnerable

Oct 15,2024Decided to give them a try but was disappointed - lovely big haddock loins that looked great but haddock was wet and mushy when cooked suggesting the fish had been frozen and defrosted too quickly. Better options out there IMHO

Oct 14,2024Awful, 2 lobster tails for a special occasion, 2.5 teaspoons of lobster meat in each . You would require 8 to 10 tails just for one portion. Absolutely scandalous gutted

Jul 19,2024STOP HARASSING ME! I bought fish from you once a few years ago and you won't stop calling me. Reading other Trust Pilot reviews, this appears to be something you do to many customers. IT WON"T MAKE ME BUY FROM YOU, EVER! I have blocked your number but you must have several numbers that you make calls from that you are blocking when you make these harassment calls. It always goes straight to my voicemail and my phone never rings. Every time you call me I will leave you negative feedback until you get the message. So grow a conscience and show your customers the respect they deserve.

Jul 19,2024Time I chipped in here. I have been having deliveries of fish from Regal for about seven years now, and the produce and the service have been consistently excellent. Quite apart from the haddock fillets I always have, the prepared food is also well worth exploring. Their smoked haddock fish cakes are very tasty, and the traditional smoked peppered mackerel are quite pricey, but well worth it. (Yer get wot yer pay for).

Jun 27,2024When you place an order the staff are always helpful, polite and courteous. The order is always delivered between the times quoted and usually at the approximately same time each delivery, which makes being around to take delivery much easier. The delivery driver is always smiley, polite, helpful and courteous.

Jun 15,2024Disappointed! I saw a Regal Fish van delivering on my street, to the house opposite. I said ‘hello’ and asked if he could pop over as I wanted to know more about their services and tbh craving some fish too! He said he would be over in a minute. I waited with my front door open for a good 3/4 minutes hoping not to miss him but within minutes he was seen driving off . Very disappointed to say the least.

Jun 04,2024Cold called at home. We don’t eat that much fish but I got some sardines for my dogs as treats. Ever since then I must of been called 3/4 times every week by regal fish. I thought they would get the hint after the 10th time but no, they are very persistent and annoying!! I sent an email and have been reassured that they would stop. We will see…

Apr 30,2024Didn’t like the fact the fish was delivered by DPD delivery, In a box with a HUGE amount of packaging. Much preferred the more hands on approach of it being delivered by Regal Fish themselves when it was delivered in a refrigerated van in a plastic bag with a couple of ice packs to keep it cold. I call that customer service. It was just another delivery delivered by a company who deliver as quickly as possible and would rather leave in a “safe place” than deal face to face with the recipient. Very disappointing.
