Oct 07,2024Ordered a pair of custom made eyelet curtains in the Scion Hikkaduwa Spiced Pear fabric. There was a bit of delay getting around to hanging them and writing this review after delivery, so apologies. The fabric has made a lovely pair of curtains which look just as I wished them to in the chosen window, and I'm truly pleased to have them. The online instructions were very helpful in guiding me to order correctly, which I had been very wary about, but everything has been fine. They are beautifully made, arrived speedily, nicely packed, by courier, and once the pole was installed, the hanging took very little time and effort. I'm tremendously grateful to the Sewinghouse. And will be back in future when new curtains are required. Thank you.

Oct 06,2024I’ve been ordering blinds through John Lewis for years because of the quality of workmanship. However, I stumbled across the Sewing House via a Google search. The blinds arrived within 2 weeks, with the same quality as JL, at half the price. Wonderful service. I will definitely be coming back to you again!

As soon as they arrived I took them out of the box and hung them straight up, they came with the metal hooks already sewn in so no messing about trying to attach curtain hooks. They fit my bay window perfectly, the exact measurements I gave them, I couldn’t be happier, well worth the money, thankyou!

I had requested a quotation from a local retailer who would make and fit a blind for me however I didn’t find a fabric in their range that I liked.I saw just what I wanted at The Sewinghouse and the free sample was very helpful. I was a little nervous ordering online as I knew I’d have to fit it myself however it was half the price of the local retailer so worth a shot. I found the measuring advice and later the fitting instructions very easy to follow. I did ask if there might be a video as I’m used to following someone else showing me how. There isn’t one however I followed the instructions and was offered help if I needed from the chat line. I was so relieved that it went up so easily. The window is quite small so it didn’t weigh too heavily and I’m confident it’s securely fixed by the well designed brackets. I will definitely be thinking about buying another one for my other room.

Sep 18,2024Very happy with my Roman blind in oatmeal ticking - looks lovely. Blocks out the light & the mechanism works well. A very well made blind with good quality fittings. The quality has exceeded expectations & I think the price was reasonable. Only issue was TNT delivery who left it on the doorstep even though when I contacted them said that wouldn't happen.
