The MySlomin’s app for iOS and Android provides a robust, easy-to-use system for remotely controlling the Slomin’s Shield system. Not only can users remotely turn on and off lights, lock and unlock doors, and change the temperature, but they can also set up scenes in which devices work together automatically. Slomin’s also offers heating oil delivery, oil burner installation and repair, and gas and AC maintenance and repair in the Northeast.
Excellent service as usual from the technician and new system sales rep. My system needed an early upgrade to resolve a control panel issues and the process from diagnosis to installation was smooth and efficient.

Beware when purchasing few Slomins, I was quoted one price told I was getting a free camera installed. Then when it came down to it, they showed up for the install. Everything changed did not realize it at the time I got extra bills they installed the alarm for six hours late arriving no phone calls or heads up, never explained in details. Had to work the alarm or anything like that their customer service is very poor. Their managers were not helpful at all. Did not want to hear anything.
We are unhappy with the communication between customer service personnel and us. We were told that the upgrade would be free. Steven Wetsberg told us that, in fact, it was not free and would cost us $120 and change, plus tax. The installer did a great job installing, but informed us that the smoke detector was not included in the $120 and would cost us approx $115 for its upgrade. Finally, the amount of time provided for customer instruction was totally inadequate. The installer left before we had the opportunity to ask any questions and/or inform us of the differences between our old and new systems. He didn't even ask if we had any questions before leaving. Additionally, Slomins does not provide a hard copy instruction booklet and we were told to download it ourselves if we had any questions. We appreciate the fact that we got an earlier installation date than originally scheduled, but it was apparent that the time spot was inadequate to provide enough time to properly instruct, and the installer left without even asking us if we had any questions. We would appreciate the opportunity for an in-person instruction session, and a hard copy of the instruction manuel. Please call us as soon as possible to further discuss and schedule same. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.
Original system was installed in 2010. We never got an update and finally now we have. Installer explained how to use system and installed in orderly manner.

Tom was professional and explained how the system works. Thank you. Going forward, I suggest that the homeowner try their alarm before the tech leaves. It was a fluke per slomins that my alarm didn’t work when I tried to arm it. Long story short, would have saved me a lot of unnecessary stress.
