Oct 09,2023I buy Wine Advent Calendars every year for some friends, so when I saw this one from SLURP I thought I'd give it a try, and ordered one as a trial. The box is very well presented, if rather small, but once opened it doesn't look at all "Christmassy" from the front and I'm sure it wouldn't have taken much to have Christmas scenes on the compartments as well as just numbers?!? My biggest gripe though is that 4 of the 24 bottles are 0% alcohol!!! I'm not against the concept of 0% at certain times, but not in an advent calendar which is supposed to be fun at Christmas. I think you should make this more prominent on the order page so people can make more of an informed decision. I am going to replace these with some festive fizz bottles (after opening all compartments to find them), but I think I'll look elsewhere for the other 3 calendars I need.

Sep 29,2023About a year ago, my wife and I spent a few days at a hotel-based leisure centre. One of the wines we tried during the evening meal was the New Zealand Marlborough district 'Black Cottage' sauvignon blanc. The wine instantly became one of my wife's favourites and I am now under instruction to make sure we always have a plentiful supply in the house (actually, the garage!). When I looked for a supplier, Slurp popped up on the screen and I now order the wine from them. It's always reasonably priced, sometimes on offer, easy to order, and always delivered quickly (within a few days) once the order is placed. Each bottle of wine is very well protected with 'egg box' (moulded boxboard) protectors and the wine is always first class. I can't fault the company or their wines. Both come highly recommended by me.
