Feb 27,2023I have 6 of these roller shades and they're fantastic, I have yet to program them with the additional zigby smart controller so I can automate them with google home, but hope to do that soon. Althought not cheap, these blinds are actually quite affordable to what you would get with run of the mill cellulose shades from the big box stores, and they are miles above that. Only thing I regret is not getting the fabric wrapped option on the bottom of the blinds, because I don't have any chrome finish in my home. They are pretty easy to program, and you can change their speeds as well. For my circumstances, I have a family room with two large windows, and a sliding glass door. The sliding glass door uses two overhanging/exterior mounts, where the windows use the interior mounts. With the 5 chanel remote, I can control all of them individually, and they I set up chanel 0 to control all of them at once. By adusting the speeds of the sliding glass door shades (which are longer than the windows), I can have all the shades finish opening and closing in my room in a sychronized way. I'm extremely happy with it. At the end of the day, you can't go wrong with these. Customer service has also been excellent, and I couldn't speak higher of the company and their product so far.

Feb 18,2023Took me a long time to get HomeKit working because the distance was too far from the AppleTV. It took over a week back and forth with their support team to finally learn this. Fortunately, they offered a partial refund to cover the additional expense for Homekit that doesn’t work in my house. The blinds look nice and the motor works great without HomeKit.

I added to solar panel for recharging, the blackout side panels, and the additional fabric to the top of the shade. Good call as it made the shade extra nice. The Alexa sync was also seamless. Recommended to all my family and friends!

Feb 13,2023All the motorized roller blind options were 2 to 4 times the cost of smartwings. I bought 5 Alexa enabled and 3 remote only. You do need a very specific Alexa device, and it's not as intuitive to use as other smart devices, but it works. There is also an option. For a smart plug that basically converts the remote to a smart hub. They mount super easily, look great, and came packaged in a nice box.

Feb 12,2023Update: Customer service responded promptly with detailed directions to reset the roll to standard from reverse. The directions are long but easy to follow making the blind exactly as ordered. Original: The blind works well. It is well constructed. It provides near total blackout as advertised. The Alexa interface is a little difficult to setup, but once done works well. However, the blind was built as a reverse roll contrary to my order of standard roll (drops from front not back) which leaves a light gap between the blind and window frame. I’m awaiting customer service response to rectification.

Feb 10,2023Can’t beat the price of these but… Blinds are often non responsive in HomeKit app Some more than others even though the router is not far away There is no smart wing app?..why? Also material quality is not as high as other high end brands. Many have lines in the fabric from the compression of being rolled. Still overall satisfied considering they are almost half price of other brands.
