Smas is a member of Safety Schemes in Procurement, SSIP and a CITB training provider. We are a H&S Assessment and training organisation that takes great pride in our professionalism, customer service and efficiency. Working with many of the major UK housebuilders we have developed experience and expertise in new build construction but we also deal with many other construction organisations.

Of all the SSIP schemes, SMAS is by far the most user friendly system. Whilst being as thorough as all other schemes, the time to complete the SMAS assessment is greatly reduced. It is a great system. We submitted our application yesterday and were approved today.

I've always found SMAS the most straightforward and easiest SSIP provider to work with, their staff are knowledgeable and the response times are fantastic.

Easy to use certification portal. Uploading of documents is simple. Any queries were answer straight away by staff on the helpline.

We are Safety Advisors and recommend SMAS to our customers. They are a really helpful team, who will turn round applications as quickly as they are able. You are able to ask for advice when and if needed. They have their own in house assessors so are not 'farming out' applications to self employed assessors (who tend to have different agendas in what they want to see.) And, they will take the time to talk you through the evidence that they need to see. I find with some schemes you are trying to be accredited with fight you all the way, Smas (Kevin) was so helpful, especially when I was unsure about what information they required. After re-submitting with the correct info - it was approved in about 3 hours !!!! Makes my job so much easier.Thanks Smas

This was my first experience of the 'full' SMAS Worksafe SSiP accreditation process. On occasion I needed information and guidance; I chose to telephone SMAS, and found all the people I spoke with friendly and helpful. Some of the queries that I had were 'technical' in nature, and I was able to speak to the Assessor handling our Application, Ms Anna Haag. Ms Haag was professional yet friendly, patient, and very helpful. Her advice and assistance were invaluable to us, enabling us to provide the required information in the correct format, culminating in our achieving SSiP approval of our Health and Safety System. I have no hesitation in recommending SMAS Worksafe to any other Company seeking to achieve an SSiP accreditation.

Dealing with SMAS was fantastic, I had my own advisor Anna who was so helpful, as I'm am very new to this industry, she explained exactly what was need and how to re download files, even after many calls to her she never lost patients and even called me back to advised.

We have recently entered into a partnership with Henry Boots PLC and there is a lot going on at Starfish Commercial. SMAS Worksafe accreditation is key to our business growth and business continuity and ensuring that we continue to have everything in place to satisfy the requirements is important to us. I have previous experience of completing the assessment however being new in to the post as Business Assurance Manager at Starfish I have had to lean on the in house assessors on this renewal for advice more than I usually would have. The advice and support has been exceptional the guidance has been clear which allowed me to close out the final queries quickly. Well worth noting was the call from Kevin Harrison our appointed inhouse assessor who actually rang me before I could ring him and offered me advice and assistance on exactly the queries I was going to ring about. If that's not good service I don't know what is.
