Dec 22,2024Just back from a 3 day trip to Lapland, we flew to Kittilä and stayed in the Saaga hotel. The chalet and food were lovely. The chalet even had a sauna. From the moment we went to the airport we were met by Bubbles and Bells the best Elves that made the trip so fun for my daughter. Would highly recommend to book now for next year. The most magical experience for all the family.

Dec 21,2024We stayed for 4 nights in Saaga Kittiila. It was amazing. Husband, me, 16 year old girl, 7 year old boy. Food, accommodation and trips all excellent. On time, well organised and I must say our elf Jolly Holly made it magical. She was very fun and made it so special for kids and adults.Always on time and there if we ever needed anything .We were very sad to leave her and hope she will be there when we go back again

Dec 13,2024We are just home from 3 nights in Lapland and still on a high. It's very rare I feel compelled to write reviews but felt it appropriate to convey our gratitude on behalf of my wife and son. The 4 days of fun started right from the moment we arrived in Dublin airport and continued until we collected our baggage on our return. We can't express our thanks enough to Cinnamon (based in lapland), our Sunway rep who was extremely helpful but I didn't get her name and both Twinkle Toes and Giggles. Both of these ladies worked tirelessly to ensure everyone was part of the experience morning, noon and night. Incredible energy. In relation to the hotel, excursions and Santa's hide away visit, all first class. Faultless. Despite the cost of the trip being expensive, I understand how this is the case considering it's Finland. So, should you visit Lapland with your family and give them an experience of a lifetime? It's a resounding 'YES' from the Carey family in Navan. Merry Christmas!

Dec 13,2024We just returned from Sagga Hotel in Yllas. We went to Lapaland especially for reindeers, huskies, snowmobiling and Santa. We had a shock when went to activities and have been informed by the guide is just a taster ride for everything. Sunway never informed us before booking that we will be brought for less then 2 minutes ride with huskies and reindeers and snowmobiling was less then 5 minutes and we paid a fortune. On their liflet is very nice presented to make you to book but when you get there is different. Very disappointing, my son was devastated why wasn't allowed to go close to huskies to get a picture, not talking about to pet them. The food at the hotel was a disgrace, every single day lunch and dinner for kids was only chicken nuggets and chips (I'm not exaggerating, my son 8 years old have had x3 days chips and ketchup), same breakfast every single morning not even alternating scrambled egg with fried egg 🙄 Elf's were excellent can't complain, they entertained the kids a lot. Conclusion: be careful what you book and with who you book if you don't want to pay a fortune for very poor services and destroy your holiday (which is short anyway and you don't have time to book the above activities separately). By the way after those tasters some private representatives were at the hotel waiting for us to book this activities privately. Everything at the hotel extremely expensive, 0.4 beer €9.80. Really felt rubbed by Sunway, so made a complain, awaiting resolution in 28 days 😔

Dec 11,2024Just back from the two day Sunway Sleigh Bell Spectacular. It was absolutely amazing from the moment we checked in and were greeted by our elves Elmo and Trixie. Everything went so smoothly despite the storm. Flight was so much fun. The elves kept everyone laughing; even on the flight home. Accommodation was perfect. Warm, cosy and spacious. Food was adequate. Finnish food is quite bland from what we experienced; but we didn't go for the food. Our Elf in Lapland was Snowflake and she was amazing. So patient and relaxed with the kids. The elves really immerse themselves in the role and seem to love it just as much as the kids. We have wonderful memories from Lapland and we highly recommend traveling with Sunway. There was so much crammed into our three days. We feel like we really got to see everything. Including a very authentic Santa Claus.
