Sep 11,2024I had a phone that was reported as stolen or lost according to AT&T and the unlocking company gave it to me straight telling me that while they could unlock the phone, the signal was blocked by AT&T so the phone was useless in the USA basically. They normally do not give refunds, but they made an exception and agreed to refund me the full amount.

Sep 07,2024I first heard about The Unlocking Company in an unexpected way—through T-Mobile! We were leaving T-Mobile for Google Fi because we were tired of their shady business practices and sneaky charges, but that's a story for another day. When I called T-Mobile to unlock my fully paid device, the agent actually had me go through the process on TheUnlockingCompany.com and then told me I'd need to pay for the service (even though T-Mobile was supposed to cover that). At that point, I hung up and decided to try the company on my own. So far, we've unlocked a Samsung Galaxy tablet and plan to unlock more devices in the future! The process was super simple and straightforward. After providing the device details (make, model, IMEI) and paying for the service, they said it could take 1-72 hours to get the unlock code. After 24 hours, they sent an update email, and when we reached out on the second day, the response was quick—they let us know there was a delay with the manufacturer but asked us to be patient. Soon after, they sent another email advising us to try the tablet with a new SIM card. We popped in a Google Fi data-only SIM card, and it worked like a charm! Now, The Mr. is all set for work with his tablet. 🎉 The unlock was successful, and I would definitely recommend TheUnlockingCompany.com for anyone looking for a reliable, hassle-free device unlocking service.

Sep 02,2024I was not really certain what I was doing when transferring all my family's phone from one provider to another and essentially gave up my number because I asked for an unlock, but my payoff hadn't posted for 3 days. I asked The Unlocking Company to refund or wait several more days and not unlock my phone until I could figure out where my number went, so to speak. It's in limbo between carriers and my payoff still hasn't posted. So, in a nutshell, they were very cool about refunding my payment and not proceeding with the process of unlocking my phone. I don't understand all the flaming reviews and threats to pull back payments for services. I even read the fine print and thought I'd just lose my payment, but they were really understanding, just by asking nicely. I think if people settle down and work through a problem, there can be better results and no torching & name calling, and that goes for just about any online vendor. Give it some thought.

Aug 31,2024after several days and several emails they weren't able to unlock my device but they were honest about things and refunded what they could of the amount spent. They did me no good and I won't use them again. But they do have alot of good reviews. Guess you win some and you lose some.
