When we got our room the bedding had not been changed since the last tenant as was readily apparent from the hair on the pillow. When we mentioned this to the staff we were given a new sheet (that we had to put on!) but no new pillow-case or duvet. Disgusting.
We ewere impressed at the helpfulness of staff, decent food and very comfy accommodate. Room was showing signs of ongoing electrics rewfurbishment but this didn't affect the comfort of the room which had a big and very comfortable bed.
Pas de mauvaises surprises : toutes les réservations étaient faites, nous étions attendus et nos paiement étaient aussi pris en compte dans tous les B&B fréquentés. Un moyen facile et sécurisé pour toute réservation par mail. Merci ! Je recommande vivement à tous...
This is the best B&B we have ever been; the whole family enjoyed it! Unfortunately we were only able to stay for one night as we had to travel further. If we ever manage to come back to Launceston, we will stay here for longer than one night.
Edwardian house with interesting and attractive décor. Convenient location, comfy rooms, good breakfast - friendly welcome. Well-priced and highly recommended.
Landlord was very pleasant and allowed me to take tea and toast to our room one morning as my wife was unwell. Unfortunately we never met his wife but just heard her voice. Parking was fine up a road behind the hotel.
2 rooms booked with 2 adults and 3 children. Nowhere near each other. No tea/coffee facilities as stated and was told they had an ant problem. Couldn't access any drinking water as sinks were so tiny with just enough room for toothbrush under taps. Asked at Reception for bottled water and could not provide us with any drinks whatsoever not even glasses or cups. No apologies given and we were all dehydrated. Not happy at all.
We only stayed here one day and didn't have breakfast, because it wasn't included in our package. The view is gorgeous. The owner is a very lovely person who provided us with the information we needed. But we didn't have much time to talk. We were in and out of the place a lot.
LOVELY PLACE BOTH MARK, & CLAIR, ARE VERY HELPFULL PEOPLE WITH NOTHING BEING TO MUCH TROUBLE
On our journey from Germany to Wales where we visited relatives we stayed overnight at Foxes Earth. After our arrival we got a warm welcome and an excellent recommendation for dinner. The rooms are tidy & spacious (only beware of the sloping ceilings to not bump your head). The beds are comfortable, the bathroom is extra-ordinary. The full English breakfast is excellent, especially the fruit salad.
We went to Filey to celebrate my birthday, we wanted to discover Yorkshire, so we choose a lovely coastal village, close to York, with an amazing view of the sea. The All Season could not be better choice! We had a warm welcome by Lesley and Andrew who were so helpful and nice. The room was really clean up, very well decorated and charming, and plenty of details (could not forget mini chocolate brownies! mmm!). The bathroom was good size and high standard amenities. The everyday breakfast was simply delightful, tasty, well presented, local product... definitely fabulous! So... thank you very much indeed Lesley and Andrew for your pleasant and welcoming treatment. I actually appreciated to have Spanish cava on my birthday it was a painstaking courtesy! Much Love Ivan & Sonia
We had a friendly reception. Th room was modern clean and and had all the things we neeeded. Dinner was very good as was breakfast. We then went to a wedding a few miles away and were able to gte back in at 1.am. All in all a great success and to be reccomended. The only downside was the chuch clock opposite which tolled on the hour- not a problem to us.
Our evening meal was not great probably because we were the only ones eating but the room and light breakfast was good.
The owners were accommodating and the breakfast was good. The rooms were clean. Only issue was the mattresses were uncomfortable
I book the White Hart before I read the reviews (silly me). I cancelled well within the terms but I'm still waiting for my refund a month later. The young lady who answered the phone said "the office deal with it" but refused to give me the number. She would get them to call - still waiting.
The B & B was warm, clean and comfortable. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. Not only did they recommend somewhere for an evening meal, but booked it up for us. This was probably the best evening meal that we had over our 4 night stay and good value. Simonburn is an excellent location for walking Hadrian's Wall and an interesting little village.
as stated above
We recently stayed at The Seaview Guesthouse in Eastbourne. The welcome was very warm and friendly from both of the Owners. The rooms were light and airy and we had a wonderful room with balcony looking out to sea. Sweets and freshly made cakes were always available in the living room. The breakfast was ample and very tasty. We would definitely stay again.
Durn House is a fantastic place to stay! The location is lovely and quiet but only a short stroll away from the bay, pubs and shops. The house itself is beautiful. It is tastefully decorated and each room is filled with interesting curiosities modern and old but never feels cluttered. We stayed in the Dunbar Suite. This is an excellent room. Tons of space with a huge bathroom. The bath and shower are fabulous. The shower has excellent water pressure. Personally, the only negative point for us was that the mattress was way too soft. This of course is personal preference but is something to consider if you like a firmer mattress. All other aspects of the room was 5 star. We had a communal room next to our bedroom where we could watch a huge selection of dvds and help ourselves to a dram of the house whisky. The other guests we encountered during our stay were also pleasant. As serious London foodies, Dinner at Durn House was fantastic. I cannot express how important it is to book dinner at Durn House. We had a disastrous dining experience on our first night at another hotel restaurant. There is really no other establishment in Port Soy that comes close to the lovely dining experience we had at Durn House.
