Touch Typing is an essential life skill and we find that children who learn accurately to literally type without looking at their fingers, will save time in producing homework and in exams etc. As experienced Specialist Teachers, we are able to effectively differentiate and individualise touch typing challenges so that all students achieve their potential. Multi-sensory learning, through games and incentives, create a brilliantly fun atmosphere in which children aged 7 upwards, thrive! We have children who want to learn good basic typing skills and those who need this skill in order to type for GCSEs, and A Level exams. Note taking, punctuation skills and real time typing under pressure are also explored with the advanced students. An encouraging, motivating and uplifting environment is created in which children of all learning abilities thrive. We specialise in helping children with dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia and hypermobility as well as for those just want to learn it as a life skill, or for application towards the skill section of the DofE levels. He now has a sense of achievement and is feeling confident and happy in his typing skills which will serve him very well for secondary school coming up. We highly recommend it!

Where confidence can be an issue for dyslexia, my 10-year-old son came out of the week full of beans and a desire to practice his newly learned touch typing life skill. I highly recommend this course.

Oct 23,2024I could not recommend this touch typing course enough. Both of my children (9 & 7) absolutely loved it. Delia & Seth are welcoming, kind, professional & knowledgeable, they taught the course is a way that left my children enthusiastic to learn more each session and develop their touch typing skills each week. They both have a beautiful way of engaging with children on a level that suits them personally. I feel this course is a vital life skill that will aid them as they venture further in their academic journey.

Jul 24,2024Cressida age 7 attended the week long touch typing course hosted by the fabulous Delia and Seth Gascoigne. Each day she would come back excited about what she had learnt and would whip out the laptop at the first available moment, ready to thone her new skills! The couple, alongside their passionate crew members know how to keep learning fun and engaging. Cressida also attended their other course - “The Art of Spelling” which she found extremely beneficial. I would highly recommend any of their courses!

Apr 19,2024Great course with kind and enthusiastic teachers! My boys (14 and 11) went on a holiday course, as they may need to type due to SEN issues. Would recommend for anyone as fun and friendly 😊 but especially good because SEN-friendly and a wealth of experience.

Feb 24,2024What a fantastic touch-typing course these guys run! My 12yr old attended during half term for 1.5hrs every morning. They managed to enthuse a room of kids from 7yrs to 15yrs (no small feat getting teens enthused for a 9.30am class during the holidays!) but they all came out smiling. Daily feedback from Delia each day was great and the presentation at the end of the course by Seth, Delia and Emily was fabulous and informative. Thanks so much. Highly recommend this course and these lovely people!

Feb 19,2024My 7yr old son took part in Delia- & Seth's intense touch typing course during half term. I was astounded by the speed in which he picked it up. Within the 5 days he went from a complete beginner - only starting to try to be able to find letter keys himself, to typing with both hands, all fingers and on all letter keys with 98% accuracy. Delia and Seth are phenomenal at motivating the kids and making them enthusiastic about typing, giving them a huge boost of confidence and lifelong skills.

I couldn’t recommend this course more- the teachers are superstars, always encouraging the students and make it fun and hard work at the same time. Perfect combination!

Oct 28,2023My son attended the intensive touch typing course with the absolutely wonderful Delia and Seth over the October half term. My son was rather reluctant at the start and really struggles with his self esteem, however, Delia and Seth worked miracles with him! They really boosted his self confidence and made sure that he felt successful in every session. His typing speed and accuracy improved tremendously as the days passed and he was so proud of himself by the end. Thank you ever so much for all your help and support, we really appreciated it.

When I finished the course, in just a week, I had improved so so much! The teaching is incredible and everyone is so friendly and supportive! Oct 18,2023My kids (aged 10) loved doing this course. Came away having memorised all the keys on the keyboard, able to type at reasonable speed with 100% accuracy. And fully motivated to keep on practicing. Most of all Delia and Seth made it enormous fun for them, they never felt it a chore to go.

Sep 09,2023Our 9 year old daughter attended the week long course and found the whole experience rewarding. Having Dyslexia this course has really helped with her development of words and how to make the process of developing sentences easier to cope with when using a computer. Delia and Seth are clearly very passionate about what they teach and they make the learning fun and engaging. We are now using the app provided every day for 20 minutes to help build upon what as learnt during the week long course. She can certainly now type better than me!

Aug 20,2023This course is an absolute find for any child who might benefit from learning to touch type. My own child went in very unwilling on Day 1 but was excited to go in by Day 2 and by Day 3 he was telling his friends proudly that he was going to touch typing. Through my own contact with the key teachers running the course, Delia and Seth, I know this is down to them and the amazingly positive culture they foster in this micro-learning environment. Very very pleased with the progress my son made during the week-long course and observe that he remains very motivated to practice in the weeks afterwards. The rewards system used in class works a treat for motivation, including the awards ceremony at the course end. I could genuinely see that each child in the class was buoyant with their success.
