This was an amazing once in a lefetime safari. The people were welcoming; the locations were perfect; knowledge of masai mara tribe was incredidble. Food was amazing. Thank you to Porini for everything.
From start to finish my Kenyan safari was organised perfectly by Tracks. Information about travel details and accommodation was very clear and the trip went like clockwork. I was even sent a paperback book about Kenya which was a nice surprise. I had a wonderful time and I would definitely use this company again.
I have used TracksSafaris for 3 safaris to Botswana and South Africa over the last decade. Always very reliable and thorough with excellent safari recommendations. Prompt and responsive. Very detailed itineraries and willing to modify hotels/tours. Payment is by Wise, but it works fine once you get the hang of it. This trip was last minute (within a month) during Christmas holidays. We wanted a malaria-free destination with off-road possibilities. On short notice, Sue recommended Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa along the Botswana border. An excellent choice with smooth transfers. Sue always delivers!
Sue put together an incredible trip. Our driver/guide Zack was extraordinary, the itinerary could not have been better, and the accommodation was fantastic. And I loved the pace of the trip. All our hotel stays were at least 2 or 3 nights which meant we weren't constantly packing and unpacking and on the move. The wildlife viewing was extraordinary....lions, leopards and cheetahs in trees, the Big Five and just about all other wildlife we could imagine, and most special and amazing of all, The Great Migration.
We visited Botswana for 9 days over New Year (2024/25). This is now the third trip to Africa under the guidance of Sue Praeter. Our trip was excellent in several ways. Firstly Sue started (as previously) with "What do you want to see?". She organised for us to visit three different habitats/landscapes with correspondingly varied wildlife. The standard of the camps was superb. The internal flights with little planes (or helicopters) were extremely efficient. Transfers between camps occurred during the middle of the day and did not impact on game drives in the morning or afternoon of each day. Helpful advice prior to departure and thoughtful follow-up call afterwards. Brilliant. All in all, excellent all round. I would thoroughly recommend Tracks.
Sue’s input and responsiveness really made our “once-in-a-lifetime” family safari during Christmas week 2024. We had a superb visit in terms of the excellence of the location (Madikwe,SA), lodge (Tau Game lodge), food, staff and safari guide. Amazing wildlife sightings. Unforgettable for all of us. Thanks Sue. We will come back to you again for future wildlife holidays. Jo, Bob and six other happy family members.
Sue is an excellent planner - she spent a lot of time with us ensuring we booked the perfect safari. We had a wonderful time and got so lucky with the wildlife sightings. Thanks!
A wonderful varied trip with a mix of lodges (Nkwali, Luangwa River, Baines) but also canoeing with 3 nights camping along the Zambezi river. We had some great wildlife sightings in all locations including plenty of Leopards. Sue's suggestions were ideal. As we were right at the end of the season some lodges had no other guests for several nights and we had safari jeeps to ourselves. Sue was very responsive at all times and we wouldn't hesitate to use Tracks Safaris again.
I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a two-week safari experience to Kenya and Zanzibar, meticulously arranged by Sue's Safari Company. From the initial planning stages to the final moments of the trip, Sue's help and attention to detail made it a truly unforgettable adventure. Our journey began in Kenya, where we explored the breathtaking landscapes and diverse wildlife of the Maasai Mara. Sue's deep knowledge of the area ensured that we had prime viewing opportunities and intimate encounters with the Big Five. My accommodations were exceptional, combining luxury with the authentic feel of the African wilderness. Each lodge and tented camp offered stunning views, top-notch amenities, and warm, welcoming staff who catered to my every need. Sue's itinerary was perfectly balanced, allowing ample time for game drives, cultural experiences, and relaxation. After an exhilarating week in Kenya, I flew to Zanzibar for a completely different but equally enchanting experience. Sue had arranged for me to stay in a beachfront resort that was the epitome of paradise. Pristine white sand beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and luxurious accommodations made for a perfect retreat. Throughout the trip, Sue's dedication to customer satisfaction was unwavering. She was always available to address any concerns and made sure every aspect of my journey was flawless.
Thank you to Tracks Safaris for a magical holiday. Sue made everything really seamless and her knowledge of the area and local guides really helped. All the accommodation was fantastic and different with each lodge and our guide was amazing. We had full safari days and his knowledge was exceptional and his patience every time we spotted something was great.
Have been on a number of trips now organised by tracks safari . Always a great balance of asking what we want with lots of ideas thrown in - ideas based on actually travelling a lot - first hand knowledge . No small question is ever a problem.
We were apprehensive about our holiday in Borneo having heard all sorts of rumours. Sue managed to allay our fears and organised an extremely busy and interesting trip in conjunction with Happy Trails operation in Borneo. The accommodation and travel arrangements were excellent and went like clockwork. We thoroughly recommend Tracksafari to organise your holiday as we have now been on 3 trips with them all of which have been excellent.
Sue was very patient and flexible when it came to trying to find an itinerary and destination that worked for our needs and constraints. She was really proactive with her communication and clearly worked hard to find the best possible safari holiday for our family, bringing really useful personal experience along the way,
Booking with Tracks safari meant we confident that every aspect of our holiday would be well organised and suit our needs with personal attention at all times. The result was a fantastic first safari with beautiful lodges and stunning close up views of all the animals we were hoping to see and so much more. All staff were so friendly and our driver's knowledge and humour just added to the experience.
Tracks Safaris organisation of our family trip to South Africa was excellent. Sue took on board our requests and prepared the perfect holiday for the nine of us in the party. From the pick-up at JBurg airport to our return everything went smoothly, with no hiccups. The two malaria-free NPs we visited had excellent game viewing, and even those of us who have travelled extensively in Africa had "best ever" encounters with wildlife. The local guides, based at the two lodges used, were excellent. They were knowledgeable and always put the welfare of the animals first. Accommodation was excellent and the food was also very good. All in all a great trip, with great support from Tracks.
We had an absolutely brilliant holiday in Botswana, thank you Sue. The level of customer care leading up to the trip was exemplary. It was good to be fully informed every step of the way with all our questions answered giving us complete confidence that, if anything unexpected should occur that Sue would be available to provide support and assistance. Fortunately, the trip was problem-free so we didn’t have to call on Sue’s services. Our experiences in Africa using Track Safari expertise has only made us want to visit again. We would happily use Tracks Safaris in the future.
Sue handled the booking for our Botswana Premium Safari and provided us with an excellent service. She was happy to answer any queries we had leading up to the trip, even when she was not supposed to be working! Would definitely use Tracks Safaris again and happily recommend them to other travellers.
We have just returned from our best holiday ever! This was a special family holiday to celebrate big birthdays with our daughters. Sue was so knowledgeable and great at planning our safari trip, her choice of camps and accommodation were excellent. From the moment we arrived in Nairobi until our return flight, Gamewatchers Safaris ensured that everything went to plan and we were very well looked after. Eagle View was outstanding and we would highly recommend as was Tipilikwani camp - amazing food, game drives and guides at both. Followed by the Asha Boutique on Diani beach which was just what we needed after our busy and exciting time in the Massai Mara. This was our first trip to Africa and it definitely won’t be our last. So Sue has the challenge of where next!
Great organisation and planning, all aspects of the trip worked really well. Communication and support during the planning and trip design and preparation very good, all our enquiries and questions handled managed promptly and efficiently and our requirements understood and interpreted really well and helped ensure we had a great time. Would not hesitate to recommend Track Safaris, Sue is a really super person to deal with, definitely intending to come back for future trips!

Mar 08,2025This was a wonderful trip which exceeded our expectations in almost all respects. We visited a wide variety of different habitats, enabling us to see huge numbers of birds, not just some 200 species (I haven't counted yet), but also enormous numbers of many of them. A few real rarities, which didn't particularly excite us but would be much appreciated by enthusiasts. The other wildlife was great too, and we were lucky enough to see lions on every one of our 5 safaris in the Gir Forest - some 15 in all, including cubs of various ages and a pair mating. We liked the way the trip was organised, giving us plenty of time and several safaris in each location, so we could really watch and study the wildlife rather than just seeing it and moving on. An interesting day in Bhuj, seeing the local craftspeople making wonderful fabrics of different kinds. The naturalist guide, Dhaval, was excellent. Really knowledgeable (not often we get a guide with a PhD!) but also very friendly and helpful and went well beyond the call of duty to give us extra outings when there was time to spare. The vehicle was amazing, we've never had such a comfortable van anywhere in the world. Like flying business class. Accommodation ranged from perfectly acceptable to somewhat over-the-top luxury, which we rather enjoyed though we probably wouldn't have chosen it.
