Aug 02,2017Ordered a rab waterproof jacket for a weekend away. Paid £10 for next day delivery when ordered on Tuesday night. Expected delivery was Thursday. Received an email on Thursday informing me the parcel was delayed and will now be delivered Friday. Very disappointing.

Aug 01,2017Ultralight Outdoor Gear offer a really good selection from available gear in the market with good sensible user focused reviews. They are one of the very few retailers that list things by weight. With other retailers I can spend ages going to manufacturer websites etc to try to find the weight. They are also very reliable with quick dispatch, unlike some of the bigger retailers that spring to mind. Some of the items can sometimes be cheaper elsewhere but the service provided by their selection system and reviews and the reliability of dispatch compensate for that in my opinion.

Jul 03,2017I chose the free delivery option and the hardshell jacket arrived 7 days later in The Netherlands. The package fitted through the mailslot, so no need to trouble the neighbours or have any delay. Packaging was decent and product arrived in good shape. After ordering I informed about delivery time by mail; respons was quick but they couldn't tell me when delivery was due for shipment outside the UK. Now we know ;) Free delivery is great, somewhat faster would lead to a 5 star rating.

One of their greatest innovations is clearly listing the weight (in grammes) of each item, and letting you sort search results by weight - really handy if you're trying to slim down your kit. The service is brilliant too - really fast delivery times. Thanks guys!

Jun 07,2017Great service. Not only did the item arrive quickly, but when I returned it for a refund that was processed the same day that the item was received at Ultralightoutdoorgear. Impressive! Well recommended. PS. I then emailed the company to check if it could source a jacket for me, that I'd only seen for sale in the US. I sent the email at 8.15am, and got a reply 30mins later saying that they'd contacted the manufacturer, found the jacket, had set up a special order for it, and that if I completed the order asap they could order in the jacket for me. That is, honestly, the best online customer service I've ever seen. And the jacket was a great price too. Cannot recommend them highly enough
