Mar 03,2017If you are looking for really lightweight outdoor equipment then I can absolutely recommend this company. They offer a range of specialized lightweight equipment that I have not found on any other website. All of the items they sell are very well documented and their staff are clearly fans of "the great outdoors" and have tested a good many of them and can really speak with first-hand knowledge about the products. Their web site makes it really easy to find the equipment you are looking for - especially because it allows you to sort on the weight of the products - something that is so important but is not offered by any other online company that I have looked at. They are also great about returning gear (assuming not used !) and in my case even allowed me to return a tent (to exchange it for another one) well after the normal 30 day return period was over. The only improvement to the web site that I would suggest is the ability to filter on how waterproof (e.g. 20,000 mm or 28,000 mm etc.) a hard shell waterproof jacket is. For sleeping bags all the necessary filters are available (e.g. comfort level) but not for rain jackets. One other possible improvement would be if they would pay for the postage for items which are being returned - at least one other company (in Germany) I am aware of does this. But that would not stop me buying from Ultralight Outdoor Gear Thanks Ultralight and keep up the great work !

Feb 06,2017I have ordered quite a few things from ultralightoutdoorgear and I'm really happy with the things that I have received. I am giving a 4 because one of my orders never showed up (I was given a refund immediately though) and another order was only partial and I am still waiting for one of the items from that order. The service team are very helpful but things I have ordered are taking a really long time to arrive. I live overseas so I expect delivery of about 2 weeks but it runs into over a month at least. It is probably the postal service who are at fault and registered post is just too expensive.
