Nov 08,2024I'm a new member and I'm more than satisfied with the teaching program; but, I did have a rough start with the first monthly payment, but for the most part, I would recommend the program. When I signed, I agreed to the 4-hours per month program. I was told there are many classes that are part of the program. Upon completion of my membership, I sign for a couple of classes, and I called for help to sign for weekly private session with a tutor. On the first class of private tutoring, it was set for 1.5 hours. Being new to the program, I didn't think twice. However, when my first monthly bank withdraw came, it was $155 more than I had expected. When I called Customer Service, she explained that I went over the 4 hours that I had on my contract. I agreed to pay, since I do need to pay for my tutor's time. The Customer Service lady agreed to credit me hours to my account to compensate for the misunderstanding. The outcome was satisfying, and I am pleased with the program, however, I'm now apprehensive about what classes to take and I will be more diligent regarding how the classes are billed. Sometimes as a new member, it is hard to know what questions to ask. I felt as if I was burnt by not asking the right question to begin with. Be careful when you sign for classes and keep track of your hours billed.

Nov 07,2024I have had a very hard time scheduling tutoring, which is the entire purpose of this platform. The Tutors are pretty great when I finally get sessions, but scheduling has been a horrible experience, I needed Tutors this week!

Nov 07,2024My time with varsity tutors was very worth the money and time. I had the pleasure of being paired with Dr. Lesly Rocha as my tutor. We met twice a week for 36 hours, and each session was well prepared and fitted for what I needed to review for content for the NPTE. After each session, I was provided with detailed notes about the material we discussed and additional resources. Through all of Lesly's support, and pushing me out of my comfort zone with material, I can happily say she got me to the next level, and helped me feel confident entering the exam leading to my passing results! Dr. Lesly is such a kind person, and was very open to working with my busy schedule. I cannot thank her for her time, and commitment to helping me make my dreams come true. I highly suggest any candidate trying to pass the NPTE to work with Dr. Lesly! -Gabby

They changed the times over and over again, the tutor didn't know how to even share her screen and they wouldn't refund me for the time that was wasted with tech support. I spent more time trying to manage the schedule and help the tutor use her computer than was spent with my son.

Nov 06,2024Save your safe some trouble and your money. This company hires anybody to be a tutor. People who are not professional or committed to the service they promise to provide. We signed up with this company a few months ago for Sat preparation. We have been with 4 tutors. Not one of them has been able to provide the tutoring service as promised. The tutor scheduled a meeting and cancel minutes before the session. Re arranged the meeting and cancel again. We finally cancelled the service and varsity tutors is unable to reimbursed my $300 monthly fee for October because we did not cancel before the billing date. How do we cancel before if the tutor decided not to show for last session not on the billing date. We still have the 4 hrs we pay for the month of October because we were not able to meet with tutor. They are stealing my money, unable to provide the service. All they can do is offer another Tutor. Why would I trust this company my daughters education.
