Jan 20,2024I've been using WA for a while now and have always had a pleasant experience with the team when running into trouble where it exists. Nothing is perfect, but WA does what it sets out to do well. Considering how much is free and how flexible their payment plan is, I can't think off a better website based service for online worldbuilding. I ran into an issue, message discord who referred me to an email address. After a couple of back and forth mails in the span of two days the problem was fixed. Since it's a problem I caused, they didn't really have to fix it to begin with. I am thankful they did.

Jan 19,2024World Anvil is a fantastic platform for writing and world-building. It's full of features that inspire new ideas and ways to expand your stories. The tools are very versatile and, although for some tools the learning curve might be a little steep, they really bring your content to life. Everything interconnects smoothly, and using CSS you are highly versatile in customizing your worlds looks. The team behind World Anvil listens to the community, letting users suggest and vote on new roadmap features. Their support is incredibly friendly and helpful. Personally, I've found a lot of joy in using World Anvil. It's become a major hobby for me to write and design on this platform, watching my worlds grow into something truly beautiful and memorable.

Jan 10,2024This is incredible. This is the sort of thing I wish I'd had ten years ago. It's like a custom Wikipedia maker combined with a custom map maker and a multilayered timeline. On top of the incredibly smooth integration of those components, you have full DnD support and a toolset for writers, both of which I'm in the process of learning. This is incredible

Dec 28,2023I love this platform. It has nearly everything you would need to create a whole new world. The layout is simple and helps to keep your ideas in order using categories and subcategories. I love that you can add maps, pictures, etc and share your world with others. I also love how much you can share, or how little in case you want to keep a few secrets. My only real regret is my lack of time. I wish I had the time necessary to use this platform as it is so amazing. But what about the staff? Excellent! Very informative, helpful and polite.

Dec 22,2023I think the service itself is great, but the third party they use for account access on the back end could be improved. Definitely be careful when updating your card info as you may be auto charged before you are ready to push it through.

Dec 18,2023Although I have cancelled my subscription as I've not used it enough, it was a great product when I was making use of it. The discounted trial was a great price but I'm not quite using it enough to justify the full price. If you use the trial, make sure to cancel the renewal or set a reminder as they won't warn you your subscription is going to renew. This is my main feedback, be more up front about renewals and you'll save a lot of hassle for both your customers and yourselves. I hope to have time to use the product in the future, and I really hope for billing to be more transparent by then, that would make this review 5 stars.

Dec 01,2023I’ve been a member of W.A. since 2019. They created the site for writers and game masters; and as a writer, I use the site as the bible for the stories I’m working on. Everything I need for storing data regarding a story is right there on the site, plus so much more. They (the owners of W.A.) thought of so much more than I ever considered for a story-bible. Noting that the options offered on the site have even given me ideas for my stories. On the other end of things, their customer service and support have been nothing less than excellent for me. They were quick to reply to emails and also reachable on their Discord channel. In addition, the members who hang out on Discord are also available sources of information for any help you might need. I’ve had all positive experiences here. So, I’ll leave you with this final thought: If you are a writer or game master, the site is worth checking out because it offers so much more than I can cover in this review. Once there, you'll promptly see how the site can assist your workflow or game-flow.

Nov 24,2023I use World Anvil for writing science and fantasy fiction and keeping a record of all my ideas, articles, maps, etc. The software is first class, suiting my needs as both a writer and world builder. It has a fantastic, supportive community that offers help and advice. Their support team is always exceptionally helpful and efficient. Overall, given the functionality and quality of the system/software as well as the customer support, the price I pay is exceptional value for money.

Jan 25,2024Have not been on it long but like it so far. They seem to be improving the software vs leaving it stagnant and racking in money like others. I think I will renew my subscription if they keep bringing new features and improvements in the gui.
