Being first time in high altitude has always been my concern for this trip. My wife - who’s done all the research, bookings and admin side of things - reassures me that Ace is the best reliable option for us, as it came strongly recommended by a friend. Alongside with Madan (our guide) & Jit (our porter), were also based on their well recommendation. Pre-trek meeting at the office was done by Prem himself, felt very thorough. Prem spoke the truth about the risks being in the mountain, but with reassurance that Ace will take care of everything that needs to be done for our enjoyment & safety. I started showing symptoms on high altitude sickness after Pangboche, but Madan’s calmness in handling everything have put me at ease. He’s got all the medication needed, and provided options on how to take this trip in a more comfortable manner - despite the symptoms I’ve had. I greatly appreciated him for that 🙏🏼 Our porter, Jit, had also done his part well, always assisting us a well mannered behavior and took care our bags responsibly. Out of the many conversations we’ve had during the track, I appreciate that our guide always respected and included our porter as equal, and spoke highly of Prem. Giving us a sense of security and believe that they work well as a team because they respect each other so much 🙏🏼 great team, wonderful experience for us. Thanks, Ace the Himalaya!!
Despite the last minute booking, everything went smoothly from start to end. A friend did the EBC trekk recently (October 2023) and Ace came highly recommended. We finally chose the luxury trip to elevate our experience. (Best decision! 😬) Starting from the website, everything is well explained in great detail, leaving me little room for redundant questions. I’ve been previously asking another operator, but information is too general & vague, raising so many unanswered questions. Booking procedures were also straightforward, with a few questions here and there being nicely accommodated by Ace. All services promised were delivered, from pick up, hotel transfers etc. We’re also delighted with the hotel chosen, loved Ramada’s breakfast, rooms were clean & spacious bathrooms. Came the actual trek, our guide Madan & porter Jit, also came highly recommended by a friend. Great recommendation, indeed! Madan’s leadership on this trek has delivered us a fun, relaxing, yet safe and secure experience! His extensive experience & knowledge on Himalayan treks made us feel always at ease that we’re in good hands. Always briefing us on details about what’s coming during the trek, food & drinks suggestion, constantly being attentive to our needs. When my husband started showing high altitude symptoms, Madan had always give the right suggestions on what to take or do, giving us the assurance that we can make this trek. Jit our porter also displayed a well behaved professional manner, our belongins are always ontime & safely landed in the next guesthouse. And if we need to get some stuff in the middle of the trek, he would be happily waited for us and let us unpack to take what we need. Thank you, Madan & Jit! Briefings were always done by Prem himself, showing us a great deal of responsibility & sense of belonging to the business and customer’s satisfaction. What I appreciated even more, there was even a post-trek evaluation meeting, ending it eith a nice farewell dinner. I think it’s trully a nice touch to make our whole experience wonderful, like I said from start to end. Thank you Ace, Prem, Madan & Jit, for taking care of us, for giving us such sweet memories. I will definitely recommend you guys to everyone!
EBC is already a once in a lifetime adventure, but we were absolutely not prepared for how truly special it ended up being! And this was all thanks to our incredible guides, Pasang Sherpa, Sauman and Birkaji. Pasang Sherpa is the kind of person that makes you feel like he is not just your guide, but your friend. From the moment we met him, we instantly felt like we could trust him with our lives. He genuinely cares for the well-being and safety of the group, which became more evident as we got to spend more time with him. When we got sick, he was there listening to every worry, every symptom, every complaint, and knew exactly what to do and exactly what to say. Since it was a stomach bug, he encouraged us to keep going but still gave us time to rest and recover, all while constantly checking on us and even getting us the right medicines. He is resourceful and we felt like everywhere we went, people truly respected him. This is the kind of person that you want to be with for this trip. We felt so lucky to have gotten the best of the best, and also gained a friend along the way. He also had the incredible gesture of getting me a birthday cake on the last day of my trek since it was my birthday. This gesture earned Pasang an extra special place in my heart, knowing he does these kinds of things for his groups, just to make the experience that much more special. For Sauman and Birkaji, our assistant guides, the word phenomenal feels short. It’s hard to describe how much enthusiasm, kindness and positivity Sauman and Birkaji brought into the group. They are the best people to be around, always smiling and making sure you’re doing well. I want to thank Sauman specifically for how exceptionally he behaved with my wife, who was the first to get sick and was almost unable to walk on one of the days. He carried her day pack, stopped multiple times to ensure she rested and stayed hydrated, and even suggested the best way forward to ensure her safety and well-being. He then offered the same things for me when I got sick as well. Not only did we feel safe, but we had genuine fun trekking with him, laughing at his jokes and listening to his great music. I truly believe he is not only a great guide but also a great leader. This just shows how this whole experience isn’t just about the trek. Doing this with people who genuinely care about you, people who have your back, who take care of you, and that make you feel safe and seen, is truly what sets this experience apart, and Pasang, Sauman and Birkaji made sure to do just that. Gopal, our porter, not only carried our heavy bags filled with photo and video equipment but also assisted us in carrying our daypacks on the last day of the trek when my wife and I were at our sickest and weakest, making me immensely grateful for his help that I will never forget. Do yourself a favor and book your EBC Trek with ACE the Himalaya, you won’t regret it.
What an amazing experience made even better by Ace the Himalaya. Their organisation, their guide (Chris) and their porters (Samir, Dambar, Rinji and Chhabi) really did take all the stress out of the trek. Highly recommend! Chris was a very experienced guide, very knowledgable, great story teller and funny! He also was very caring and attentive when our daughter was ill. Request him as your guide you won’t regret it!
No words can accurately describe the amazing journey we have been on over the past ten days! Ace has surpassed my expectations ten fold! (Not exaggerating!) I highly recommend Raj as a guide. He was enthusiastic, patient, informative, highly organized and so much fun! He took incredible care of us and went above and beyond. We are now Team Raj! Also, our porter, Narin, was an important part of our EBC family. His constant smile and incredible patience and endurance amazed us every day. He stayed with our group to help those who needed more time or wanted to go ahead. I’m almost teary eyed as I write this post and I’m sad this journey has come to an end. I might be back next summer for a different Ace adventure; I’m hooked!
We did the EBC trek with Sunil Neupane. The entire itinerary was greatly plan. during the briefing, the day before the start of the hike, we were able to ask many questions and learnt what to expect during the trek. Sunil was an amazing guide. He's perfect for the job. He had lots of energy, happy to answer questions, always in the good mood, and even helped us carry our day packs when the elevation got the best of us. He started as a stranger guide on our trek but ended the trip as if we were long time friends. We finished the trip without injury and I'd personally say that I wouldn't have it without the porters (Krishna and Yuri), Sunil, and my hiking poles. The team from Ace really looked after us the entire time. The porters were also great! I'm still in awe how strong they were. Krishna was a lot of fun and I can imagine him bring a great tour guide in the future. Yuri carried my day pack during acclimatization days, which helped preserve my energy. We'll be back to Nepal for sure and definitely go with Ace again. Thank you so much, Ace!
Sujan and his team in Katmandu organised the whole trip very well. Pre-trip communication was excellent. Everything throughout the trip went pretty much according to plan. Regarding the hike itself, Raj Kumar our guide, Ramesh Karki his assistant, and our porters Birendra, Gambu, Bikash and Khome were a true team. Under Raj's assured and professional leadership every hiker in our group received the necessary support, encouragement and positive attitude needed to succeed. The Ace Team were individually and collectively attentive to our every need. I have no hesitation in recommending Ace the Himalaya to anyone considering this adventure !
Ace provided a fantastic trek from start to finish. Our airport pick-up, initial stay at the Ramada and briefing with Prem were well coordinated and an excellent welcome to Nepal. Our briefing was informative and helpful. At all points on the trek our guide and head porter went out of their way to make each day as comfortable as possible, sorting food (and advising what was best to eat) and drinks, sorting phone charge for us etc. We were treated with continued exceptional care. Daily briefings helped us pack for the next day and know what to expect. Ram was also on-call 24hrs so we could rely on him if we needed anything. We had en suite bathrooms at most points on the trek, and the rooms were as comfortable as we could have enjoyed at increasing altitude. I highly recommend Ace for excellent value and client care. I would definitely use them again.
A totally fantastic trip! Right from our briefing with Prem in Kathmandu the day before we left, to the farewell dinner at the end, everything was carefully planned and left us feeling that we were in safe hands. Everything had been thought of and throughout the trek our guide, Ram and assistant guide, Bhupal went out of their way to ensure we had a truly memorable holiday. Throughout the trek, they always did their best to secure us the best rooms, and the best tables in the tea houses. When we were struggling on the final day, the 4 porters (Girija, Prasad, Bhupal and Gopal) went above and beyond to help us - even carrying our day packs and offering us a hand when we felt unsteady on the rocks. I would highly recommend Ace the Himalayas and would not have changed anything about the trip! (Except the altitude sickness on the last day! 😂)
I recently went on a 23-day Everest Base Camp Trekking trip with Ace the Himalaya and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Our guide, Rajendra Neupane, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, making the trek an enjoyable and educational experience. He was always ready to answer any questions we had and provided us with valuable insights into the local culture and customs. The owner of the company, Prem, was equally wonderful, ensuring that everything was organized and that we had a safe and comfortable trip. He and his team went above and beyond to make sure that everyone's needs were met, and even helped me when I fell sick and couldn't finish the Island Peak Expedition. Their kindness and compassion made all the difference during a difficult time. Overall, I would highly recommend Ace the Himalaya and their team for anyone looking for an unforgettable trekking experience in Nepal. They truly care about their clients and are dedicated to providing the best possible service. Thank you again to Rajendra, Prem, and the whole team for an amazing trip!
I booked with Ace The Himalaya on recommendation of a friend and I can only do the same now since I had an amazing experience with the company. Everything was organised perfectly and on point. I immediately had a good feeling about the team after having the pre trek meeting and that didn’t change trough-out the trek at all. Our guide was Nemish, absolutely perfect guide! Friendly, funny, helpful, knows his job and beyond.. could not have wished for a better guide and I would book him again for future trips if I would come back! You really notice in his way of doing that he cares about his job and 100% loves doing what he does, taking the people to the mountain and making sure they have an unforgettable trip. Our porters were Pradip, Giriraj and Birkash. They did an amazing job carrying all the weight and always kept a smile on their face. Pradip and Giriraj want to become guides in the future and I believe they will make a good guide when they are ready. During this trek they have done more than what is expected from porters, taking on some extra responsibility to make sure we were in good hands all the time. Thanks ACE for making this trip so memorable!
Ace was great to work with in building a customized itinerary for our group. They were responsive and set us up with everything we needed. Sushant, kalika, and Bishal made our trek amazing. They took care of all of the logistics, provided us with detailed information each day about what to expect, and ensured our safety. Because of this, we were able to really be in the moment and enjoy all of the spectacular views! I would highly recommend them!
Such a great service from start to finish, can't recommend this company enough.
Grueling but Spectacular March 2023 The trek to Everest Base Camp was the realization of a long-held dream. I read quite a bit about life in the Himalayas and the history of mountaineering but I knew that I had to see both for myself to satisfy my curiosity. But this was only possible after retirement. So, having retired, I took the journey in March of 2023 and everything I experienced defied my imagination. The World Heritage sites in Kathmandu were splendid, but the mountains themselves were glorious. Ace the Himalaya has put together a wonderful itinerary that is both exhausting and exhilarating: grueling but spectacular and worth all the effort. My guide, Deepak Neupane, was tremendously solicitous and helpful, making sure at every stop that I was feeling well and that I was eating and drinking to keep up my strength. With his oversight I had no symptoms of altitude sickness and full confidence in the goal of reaching EBC. "Eat to keep up your energy. Drink to prevent dehydration. Get your rest. And think positively." Those 4 reminders were Deepaks mantra to me and my friend, Tom. Our porter, too, was heroic. Our bags were always waiting for us at the next guest house and he, too, looked after us along the trail. All and all, a great company and a wonderful experience. Very grateful to Ace and to Deepak.
A trek to Everest Base Camp is a once in a life-time adventure. In such a journey, your partner, the agency and more importantly, your guide play a very important role. I can proudly say, all my scepticism about both ‘Ace The Himalayas’ and our guides, Ram and Ramesh, were put to rest. The trip was memorable from the start and after 8 grueling days of trekking, when we reached the Everest Base Camp, the sense of achievement, fulfilment and pride cannot be explained. This was possible due to our Guides. Ram was exceptional in his patience and motivation keeping the entire group going and aiming towards the final destination. I have no hesitation to call out both ‘Ace The Himalayas’ and our guides, Ram and Ramesh for exemplary professionalism, dedication, customer service and above all, being the true ‘Sherpas’ in our journey.
I did the Annapurna Circuit trek with Ace the Himalaya and had a great time! Sushant was our guide and took great care of us the entire trek. He was very knowledgeable and shared history and information about many things that enriched my experience. And always made sure we were safe and had full bellies! Our porters Kalik and Bissal were amazing and went the extra mile for us. Overall, a great experience!!
We were lucky to be in such safe hands. Our guide, Suschant, and our porters, Kalika and Bissal, were always looking out for us. Their service and professionalism is second to none.
Our guide made sure that we were comfortable and safe from the beginning to end of the trip.
Was my first trip with Ace the Himalayas and I was pleasantly surprised with the overall management and especially with our two guides Ram (our main guide) and Ramesh (co-guide). Ram is an expert guide who led the group of ten people and was assisted by Ramesh. We felt in safe hands with both of them and logistics was the last thing on our minds during the trek since the duo were quite proactive and managed everything quite well. Ram ensured that we were not only comfortable in our lodges but also were well fed and well slept. Special thanks to Ram who was instrumental and decisive on so many occasions and went beyond the call of his duty to ensure everyone’s comfort, safety, and well-being during the trek. Would also like to thank our 5 porters Anil and Co. who helped us carry our duffel bags and who came along with us and carried our day-packs during the final and most demanding stretch from Gorekshep to the Everest base camp and back. Thank you Ram, Ramesh and the crew for making EBC trek a truly memorable and incredible experience of lifetime. Would undoubtedly choose them again for my next trek.

Dec 23,2023My husband Barry and I trekked 800 km on The Great Himalayan Trail with our outstanding guide and friend Rajendra Neupane. As we are 77 and 76 it was an incredible undertaking. Raj did an incredible job of guiding, assisting me across rivers, monitoring our safety at altitude, making the days fun and always encouraging and supporting us. The Ace the Himalaya office staff did a stellar job helping us to plan our ambitious itinerary. We camped for the first two months. Our marvellous cook Pasang Furi Sherpa kept us healthy with delicious meals, including celebratory cakes and pies, assisted by three excellent kitchen helpers Lakpa Sherpa, Mingma Dawa Sherpa and Ngima Sherpa. We were later joined by Pasang's son, Kipa, also a fun addition.Raj navigated us through the endless staircases of Ruby Valley, Langtang and Rolwaling, finding the best available guesthouses when camping was no longer available and even cooking for us when a few of the guesthouse kitchens looked a bit sketchy. Raj makes excellent garlic soup and a great omelet. He coordinated a large group of Tamang porters in Ruby Valley and found us one of them, Phul, to stay with us, for the remainder of the trip. The entire trip required not only guiding but managing a large group of people to make the trip worthwhile, fun and safe for all. We have known Raj since 2011 and have always enjoyed trekking with him. In 2014 I trekked solo with Raj for several months, went o his village to volunteer as a teacher under the auspices of NGO Sambhav Nepal and wrote a book about the experience called NEPAL ONE DAY AT A TIME, One woman's quest, to teach, trek and build a school in the remote Himalaya. Trekking with Raj through Ace the Himalaya and collaborating with sister organization Sambhav Nepal has changed my life immeasurably for the better. Our Canadian non-profit, also called NEPAL ONE DAY AT A TIME has built a school and two homes in earthquake ravaged Gorkha. We continue a lasting relationship with Ace, Sambhav Nepal and the school.
