Highly professional travel agency that doesn't only delivery high-end quality but also very special access to unique experiences. Their founder, Prem, is an exceptional person who knows how to deliver first-class service. Can only recommend Ace!
Had a very memorable trip with Ace from Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp and back again. The guide Raj was a pleasure with his 17 years of experience in the Himalayas every part of the walk felt safe, he’s warm hearted and knows a lot about the whole area you trek in. Would recommend Ace the Himalaya to everyone considering hiking the EBC.
Every since I was a boy, I dreamed of hiking in the Himalayas; to be in and surrounded by the most majestic mountains on earth. It took fifty more years but from October 18th through the 25th that dream was finally fulfilled with our trek to Everest Base Camp. It was better than I imagined and worth the wait. Its hard to put into words what it is like to be hiking high and climbing towards more beauty while the helicopters that fly below you are specks. Or to cross vast swinging footbridges a hundred feet over raging rapids. To continually achieve new altitudes each day. My hiking friend researches our adventures meticulously and works hard to find the best guides and the best value. We struck gold when he recommended Ace the Himalaya. Ace took care of every detail from picking us up at the airport, to our hotel accommodations while in Kathmandu, all arrangements, permits, meals, transportation, the return to Kathmandu by helicopter, and return to airport for departure. They conducted a pre-meeting to communicate important do’s and don’ts, a thorough post trek survey to get our feedback and post trek celebration dinner. They also arranged a bus and reputable tour guide – at our request and expense, to show us Kathmandu on the day before our trek commenced. We struck gold again when Ace assigned Pasang Dawa Sherpa to be our guide. We relied on Pasang’s quiet and unassuming leadership to complete our journey successfully. There was never any doubt that Pasang was in charge, that we were safe with him, and that he was quietly monitoring our status and health from a distance. However, he did so in a friendly, humble, and unassuming manner. Everywhere we went people knew Pasang and you could tell that they respected him. I can see why. He’s the kind of man you want to stay friends with. If Pasang’s goal was to get our entire group to Base Camp and home safely while enjoying the experience then he succeeded mightily. Even with Pasang we would not have been able to even attempt this without our two porters, Sunny and Lhakpa. They carried two-people’s duffels plus their own gear for us every day; I’m guessing in excess of 50 pounds. While we were gasping for air with our day packs, Sunny and Lhakpa motored on ever upward. Yet when we stopped for a break they were always right there to help us get the water bottle from our day a pack and encouraging us to drink. In spite of the burden they bore for us, they always seemed friendly, happy, and up-beat. Ace The Himalaya is a high-quality company that not only provides a thorough, high quality, and safe service to it’s customers but you can tell they treat their people well. While in Nepal I heard stories of how they were loyal to their people during the pandemic. At my age, I don’t know if I will have the opportunity to return to Nepal, but if I do it will be with Ace the Himalaya.
I have done trekking adventures through the Grand Canyon, on the Appalachian Trail, the Inca Trail in Peru, and to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa, but the Everest Base Camp Trek with Ace the Himalaya was the most adventurous, culturally educational, and scenic trip of my life! The feeling of awe and accomplishment in completing the trek in sight of the peak of the highest mountain on earth is indescribable and unforgettable. Thank you so much to Prem from Ace the Himalaya and all of his staff for making this the perfect trip of a lifetime! Ace the Himalaya was there every step of the way in ensuring our trip ran smoothly - from picking us up at the airport, to our stay at the beautiful Thamel House Hotel, to all arrangements, permits, meals, transportation, and especially the extra special return by helicopter! The helicopter ride was perhaps the coolest thing I have ever seen in my life, as we drifted over high mountain passes, dipped close to blue mountain lakes, and got over an hour's worth of stunning landscapes as we flew from Gorak Shep to Lukla then on to Kathmandu. It was such a memorable and relaxing way to end our trek after so many challenging days of hiking. Ace closed out our trip to Nepal with a nice congratulatory dinner and the award of certificates, and then provided our transport to the airport, assisting us with everything during our entire stay in Nepal. And now, most importantly, I must say that the person who really was most responsible for the enjoyment and success of our trip was our guide, Pasang Dawa Sherpa. Pasang was absolutely amazing! He not only led us every step of the way, but he was always so positive and encouraging. Pasang is such a friendly, humble man, but he always took charge of everything, and every village we came to he was so well known and respected by everyone. Pasang had a great sense of humor and an unlimited knowledge of the mountains, the cultures, the religions, and the history of the Khumbu Region we were hiking through. He was such a great guide in every way, and I would feel so privileged to follow his lead again when I make my next trip to Nepal. I must not complete my review without sharing my greatest appreciation and admiration for our two porters, Sunny and Lhakpa. They were like Supermen carrying our extra duffel up the mountains, and even though they did not speak English, it was easy to tell that they were kind, friendly, and so helpful to us all the way to the end of the trek. Our group of four hikers from Ohio completed this trip on October 29, 2022. Larry Compton
Altogether a wonderful experience to Annapurna Base Camp, and good value for money. Well organized by the office in Kathmandu and ably supported by the representative in the USA. Due to the unusually late termination of the monsoon (perhaps the new normal), and being the sole client on my fixed departure date in mid-October 2022, I was able to request a couple of days delay so that I could trek in full sunshine. The guesthouse/food facilities exceeded my expectations (cappuccino - what would Herzog have thought!). But what really made the trip was the professionalism, knowledge and camaraderie of my guide Sunil and my porter Limbu. The mountains were pretty good too.
Annapurna Base Camp Trek with Ace The Himalaya I Can’t even begin to describe how amazing this trek was. Thanks to the outstanding Ace the Himalaya team who has been nothing short but impeccable at organizing the logistics, this first experience in Nepal went far beyond all I could have ever dreamed of. Our Lead guide Sushanta Neupane and assistant guides Bishal Gurung and Ramesh Neupane were incredible. They were very professional, welcoming, encouraging and took great care of us. They made all the difference and I can’t thank them enough for their help, patience, and great sense of humour. They contributed to so many laughs and good memories that they made this experience unforgettable. I feel so fortunate to have met them and I hope that our paths will cross again. Our lead guide Sushanta did a terrific job and his knowledge and organization along the entire trek was nothing short of the best. Despite initial challenging weather conditions that forced him to adapt our itinerary, his quick thinking and calm confidence provided the group with the safest and best possible experience on the mountain. Special mention to Bishal who went twice through a waterfall to show us the way and Ramesh who managed to keep all gear dry while crossing it. The 3 of them were also very mindful of our health looking for any signs of altitude sickness to which they were very quick to respond. The Annapurna Base Camp trek itself offered breathtaking views of the mountain and the tropical forest. I definitely recommend this trek with Ace the Himalaya. Thank you to Ace, Sushanta, Bishal and Ramesh for this incredible life time experience in your beautiful country. I will definitely be back
Ace the Himalayas was an amazing company to trek with. Right from the beginning with Sajiya answering many questions and putting together an awesome package for us. Our city tour of Kathmandu was so cool and our guide was so knowledgeable. Then our trek to Everest basecamp was a trek of a lifetime! Our guide Raj made us feel so safe and comfortable. He took the best care of us and ensured we were well looked after the entire time. Our porters Sher and Dipak contributed to so many laughs and good memories, we couldn’t have done he trek without them. To all the Ace the Himalayas team, we are entirely grateful for this unforgettable experience. If you are looking to book with a good, trusted, and credited company, look no further. Ace the Himalayas is the right choice.
We just returned from an eleven day trek to Everest base camp. We chose Ace the Himalaya and we’re very glad we did. They took care of all our needs which allowed us to focus on the hike and enjoying our time in the high country. The hotels they booked us in were first class. The tea houses were accommodating and the food was good. Our guides were amazing! They met us at the airport, took care of all the logistics and answered all our questions. By the end of the trip, they were just like family. You won’t go wrong by choosing Ace!
My experiences with Ace and Nepal are all positive and my Nepal experience was awesome. My guides Madhi, Ramesh, and Dipesh were knowledgeable, supportive, and knowledgeable. You spends weeks with these your guides and personalities are important. Aceconsistently provided excellent service and their goal is clearly to ensure that your experience is the best possible. Ace was nimble in responding to unexpected circumstances and was very accommodating with special requests including arranging a wedding at the Tengboche Monastery. Based on my experience, I would completely trust that Ace has thought through all the details and will be completely honest and fair regarding the costs.
The whole experience was 10/10. I would highly recommend this company to anyone planning on hiking the Himalayas. Everyone in our group made it up to base camp. We had outstanding guides who went above and beyond expectations! If you go I would recommend the following guides: Madan, Dipesh and Ramesh
Everest Panorama Trekking (18 days) We enjoyed a fantastic and impressive trekking tour - many thanks to Pasang Dawa Sherpa (guide) and Pradip Magar (porter). Pasang, with his many years of extensive experience, guided us safely and reliably from lodge to lodge, over passes, to summits and to base camps. He was communicative, humorous and always attentive - we wanted for nothing. And last but not least, our luggage was in the best hands with Birdip. We were a great team and I am looking forward to our next trekking tour together.
I weighed many companies when deciding to do a trek to Everest Base Camp. I decided on Ace the Himalaya because of a great price point (great discount deal they had going with TripAdvisor) and their great reviews. The 14-day EBC Trek offered by Ace the Himalaya was by far the easiest to book (other companies had me go through hoops with verified payment through the Bank of Nepal and did not seem easy to get a refund in emergency cases). Ace had an easy payment system and great cancellation policies. Behind the scenes, pre-trip organizing involved a lot of communication with the company and Sujan Khatry was always there to respond within hours of sending a message/email to the company. I was assigned a great team: a guide (Madan) and two porters (Sauman and Kushal). The guide and porters were more than just that however. They were always positive and enthusiastic, even when the traveling was wearing me down by the last few days. They lifted our spirits when it was just too cold and too tiring to carry on along the trek. Surprisingly, they were also the ones that helped place meal orders, served us meals, surprised us with extra snacks, briefed us on what to expect the following day, what to wear to best prepare for the upcoming weather, and most of all, attentive to our needs and any problems along the trek. They tried their best to accommodate for anything we needed, including extra help carrying items if we were struggling with altitude sickness or recommending foods to avoid diarrhea as us foreigners were not accustom to the local tap water/milk. By the end of this trek, I have learned that Ace the Himalaya as a company is poised to become one of the best trekking companies in the region because they attract the best guides and porters. The guides/porters' spirit and positivity was continuously uplifting and is what makes the trek more than just a trek: it is an experience of a lifetime. My guide encouraged to keep in touch and I still see Facebook posts from my trip and the new treks he's taking on. Just seeing their smiles in pictures reminds me of how much fun it was being around these people. After all, these treks are nothing without the people you share the trekking experience with along the way.
Annapurna Base Camp trek was my second trek with 'Ace the Himalayas' after successful completion of EBC trek during October 2019. Prem and his entire team deserves a big applause for their outstanding hospitality & demonstration of personalized service, customer centric professionalism, individual assistance and reliability. Our main Guide Rajendra Khatry and assistant Guide Ramesh Karki and the team of porters delivered beyond our expectations. Extremely happy and satisfied with Team Ace. True value for money.....looking forward to many more treks with Ace the Himalayas in the years to follow..
The private tour (18 days) with guide Pasang Dawa and porter Pradip Magar was a complete success all along the line. Great and always friendly team in all respects. Besides Mt. Everest B.C., the Kala Patar and the Gokyo Ri were further highlights. The Cho La and Renjo La passes were also highly recommended. Anytime again with this team.
Our Eleven Day Private Photography Tour We arranged a private photography tour for four with Ace. We traveled to a variety of places on a tour designed and scheduled by Ace to give us a look at the cities, villages, hills, and the Himalayas. This included tours of Kathmandu and Pokhara, an Everest flight, a school visit, and time in several small towns and villages. This was a wonderful look at the cities and country and we came away with many beautiful and fascinating photos. Our accommodations were often simple, but service was always outstanding. Our guide, Nimesh, took care of us very, very well and was a lot of fun to spend time with. He, and our driver Suraj, made sure we had what we needed, that we were comfortable, and were able to get the photos we wanted. And did I mention that he was fun to spend time with? Nimesh also often leads trips to Everest Base Camp so he knew a lot about trekking and the mountains. We had a lovely trip. It was well-organized and planned and we loved our time in Nepal.
I started the Everest Base Camp trek with Nimesh in March 2019, and I absolutely loved having him as my guide. At every step, from the initial pre-trip meeting to handling flights to Lukla to directing the porters and dealing with our crazy group, Nimesh was kind, patient, steadfast and intelligent. I hurt my ankle in Namche Bazaar and, since I insisted on continuing, Nimesh quickly arranged a horse and horseman to take me to Tengboche. He treated my ankle that night with knowledge and care. When the next morning it became apparent I could not go on, he immediately called a helicopter and had me on it in less than 20 minutes, then had his friend meet me in Lukla to meet the helicopter and arrange the flight back to Kathmandu. I can’t imagine what it would have been like to try to do all this myself, but Nimesh handled the situation with empathy and urgency. Nimesh’s insight into the culture, expert counsel to his clients and skill on the trail are beyond compare. Plus, he’s a great conversationalist and very funny, and truly wants to learn about his clients. I am returning this year for another EBC trip with Ace, and insisted on having Nimesh as my guide—because I wanted the best, and that’s what he is. I can’t wait!
Awe inspiring trek in the Annapurna range From the beginning, our experience with the Ace staff was wonderful. They were very responsive to all of our questions in the planning stage and provided quick feedback and clear information. Many in our group also had Ace arrange additional day trips to enhance our Nepal trip. These were excellent. The gear they provided was clean and the right warmth for the mountain conditions. On the trek, Ram, Sujan and our porters were amazing. In addition to handling the logistics, meals and hauling our duffel bags up the mountain, they shared their joy of the mountains and the culture of Nepal with us. With 11 people, Ram and Sujan were attentive to our safety and how everyone was doing with the hike and the altitude. It was clear that their goal was to make our Trek a once in a lifetime dream trip. They were flexible so ensure each of us got the experience we wanted. I feel like I made some new friends along with wonderful memories of the spectacular Himalayas.
My second time with Ace the Himalaya and I brought 5 friends with me to Annapurna 5 day trek to Poon Hill. We all had a great time. And our guide Dipesh and porters Amish, Sumit and Kismut were outstanding! We’re so happy with their service that we unanimously vote for Dipesh to be “Guide of the Year 2020”. He totally deserves it and he went above and beyond to make us comfortable and made sure I was able to catch my flight out of Kathmandu.
What an amazing trip! Ace the Himalaya has everything taken care of and all their staff were great to work with. Pemba Sherpa was our fearless mountain guide and helped my husband and I hike to Everest Base Camp and summit Island Peak. He was a very experienced guide and always made us feel at ease during the trip. We’d recommend this trip and him as a guide to anyone! Thanks, Pemba. Will never forget this trip.

Nov 07,2022Been waiting 25 years to do this trip (EBC 16 days) and it was worth the wait to do it with Ace and our legendary guide Nimesh Nepal and porter Yam. The trip organisation via Sajiya was first class. The tour ran like a well oiled machine. Everything was clear, on time and ran perfect. Nimesh - what can I say. If i come back to Nepal it will be to do another trek with him. He is a legend. So much experience, patience, humour and just a great bloke. Yam and our other porter (apologies cant locate his name) were great. So helpful when needed and good company. 10/10 recommendation.
