I was quite apprehensive before I embarked on the Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek organized by Ace The Himalaya, being my first trek ever in more than half a century of my existence in this world. While relatively fit, I was not sure how my body would take to the higher altitudes and the cold weather, having been born, brought up, and lived mostly at sea level. Ace The Himalaya put together a well-thought-out itinerary, with sufficient time for acclimatization to the higher altitudes. Sujan and the team at the office accommodated the changes in schedule from 2020 to 2023( thanks to Covid). They were meticulous in their responses as well as clarifications in the pre-trip calls and communications that we had with them. The accommodations provided were the best in class for those locations- Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Dingboche, Lobuche, Gorekshep and Lukla. The creature comforts like hot running water, heated mattresses, free charging, and internet connectivity made a difference, especially in the initial days, to bear the brunt of the climb and fatigue from lower oxygen levels. But what made all the difference were the experienced Guides Ram (Lead Guide) and Ramesh (Assistant Guide). Ram was the epitome of patience addressing the questions and concerns in our daily morning and evening briefings. His experience was evident, be it in inputs around what to wear, how much water to carry, early symptoms of AMS, when and how to take Diamox and manage side effects to his choice of acclimatization climbs. Ramesh set the pace and made sure we all stayed safe and together on the path. We were a group of 10, ranging from 8 yr old to 58 yr old, with varying support requirements but between the two of them, they made sure that each of us had the personal attention we sought. Ram was firm in what we should and shouldn't do (skip acclimatization climb or push ahead of the group) but ready to accommodate flexibility (late starts, more breaks) where we sought the same which did not affect the success of the trek. It was made clear that Ram and Ramesh were available 24/7 for our support, including addressing situations like a wet bed at mid night thanks to hot water bottle leak! Some in our group chose to return by helicopter while a few of us decided to trek all the way back. Between them, they made sure they supported both groups and reworked all the lodge bookings in the last minute. The gear provided by Ace the Himalaya (Sleeping bag, Down jacket and Duffel bags) were best in quality. The porter team (Sohen supported me) accompanied us to EBC from Gorekshep and were willing to go beyond their call of duty to carry the day packs or take the pictures or even guide us on tricky climbs. I am thankful to Ace the Himalaya and the guides (Ram and Ramesh) and the porters (Sohan) for giving us a memorable experience.

Can't begin to explain how amazing my trip with Ace the Himalaya was! From start to finish the entire process smooth and easy. I went alone and was placed in a group with 4 other people, which was the perfect sized group. Rajan was our guide and he really made the trip. He was everything you could ask for and more including personable, funny, professional, and caring. Raj was our biggest cheerleader on the trek and never made our group feel rushed or hurried. Our porters, Arjun, Lochan & Kumar were all extraordinary and unbelievably friendly and professional. You can tell Ace the Himalayas is a well-respected company as our guides and porters had great relationships with everyone we met and all the teahouses we stayed with on the trek. My experience with this company was amazing and I would recommend to anyone! If I ever do a trip to Nepal again I will absolutely book another trek with them.

it was a difficult track for our group where the average age of our group was above 50 Yrs old. But we all managed to achieve the target thru the Help of RAM ( our Senior guide ) Ram help us in all ways to motivate , encourage and provide full help as and when needed . He is a amazing Guide. His assistant RAMESH was good too. Both helped us in recovering , guiding and helping us to cross the difficult and slippery track. My porter ANIL was too good. He was very helpful to me during my last days where he walked with me to help . Over all the experience is amazing , Views was nice .

EBC trek with Ram (Lead guide) and Ramesh (Assistant Guide). Ram was truly exceptional and so was Ramesh. They made such a joyful trip. Ram is extremely knowledgable and always has a smile on his face. Whatever you ask for, Ram does his best to make it happen. We chose the luxury option and it truly turned out to be amazing as we had warm blankets for almost every night, we had the best possible hotels, food was amazing and we were given the first flight out option on both the routes (i.e. to Lukla and from Lukla). This all happened because of Ram and his agency. Ramesh as our assistant guide was also amazing and he also turned out to be our main photographer. We were a group of 10 from Singapore with a 8 year old girl who also made it to EBC. She was extremely strong and our guides took good care of her. Highly recommend Ram's agency and they will look after you.

We were are group of eight men all of mixed ages & abilities from the UK. Nimesh who was our guide for the week, works for Acethehimalaya. He met us at the airport & took us to our hotel in Kathmandu for the first night. His English & cultural knowledge of Nepal was excellent. He couldn’t have done more for the group, as he organised our itinerary including places to eat & any questions we had, all done with a great sense of humour professionalism & sincerity. This was a bucket list holiday for us delivered by Nimesh, Dillip & Ace The Himalaya, which more than met our expectations. We finished our holiday off with a helicopter trip to see Everest Base Camp before flying back into Lukla. What an experience!!! Therefore having such a great holiday we are already looking at our next trip & would be insisting on having Nimesh as our guide. We really cannot find any points of criticism of this holiday.

Ace was exceptional! Communication was clear, organized and always available during the preparation for the trip. Special thanks to Kathy who helped us at the beginning to organize our expedition. During the trek Madan "Maddy" Kandel (guide) and his team (Jit, Kusal, Dilip and Pravin) were amazing! The team were extremely friendly, efficient and professional. Special thanks to Maddy who went above and beyond to make us enjoy our days in the mountains even more. At Kathmandu we also had a chance to do the city tour with guide Dil who also was amazing, very knowledgeable about Nepal and Kathmandu history. Thanks to the whole Ace team for this amazing experience!

"Our recent trip to Nepal was incredible. This would not have been possible without the head office team led by Prem Khatry. As CEO and founder, Prem is both an entrepreneur and compassionate community leader. His team's attention to detail was key to our trip. Upon our initial visit with him in Nepal he assessed our needs and quickly suggested we do the ultralight flight in Pokhara, which of course, we knew nothing about - and it turned out to a major highlight of our Nepal visit. This chap Prem, raised in the mountains of Gorkha, knows his stuff. Our pick for guide of the year - is the guide that truly made our entire trip special - Dill Tamang. Having been involved in this sector for many years his immense knowledge flows out of him as you walk through magical Nepal with your mouth wide open. Dill, who himself was born in a remote village in Nepal showed us the incredible beauty of Nepal in so many ways. He understood us within the first day. A highlight was Dill searching out the Guru Rinpoche Cave for us even though it was not on the original tour - he made it happen." . Sherman and Katie Dahl Vernon, BC Canada

We are so glad that we chose to do our trekking with Ace The Himalaya. They were a fantastic company with great communication and were very organised. We could not be more thankful for our guide Sunil and porter Sitaram, both were absolutely amazing and super accomodating! Sunil’ s company was so enjoyable and he always had our best interests at heart. He made this trip possible and each day motivated us with his bubbly and friendly personality. We absolutely loved having him as our guide. Porter Sitaram was great! He always had a big smile and vibrant personality! We think he will make a great guide one day! We were treated extremely well throughout the whole trip and the owners of each tea house were so generous and kind. We hired 2x down jackets and sleeping bags from Ace which were both in great quality and made the trek even more enjoyable. Back in the office Sajiya ensured we had everything we needed and were prepared in every way possible. She was so lovely and provided us with all our information as well as always being responsive and friendly. Everything about our experience was amazing and we would highly recommend choosing to do your trek with Ace.

In October of 2022 me and a group went to base camp via Gokyo, and it was probably the best trip I’ve ever been on. Ace were flawless as a company and I would 100% recommend booking your trip through them. My first messages were with Sujan who answered any question via email and was very helpful. Once in Kathmandu, we had our pretrip meeting with Sajiya which was super helpful and she told us everything we would need to know. (We also got down jackets and sleeping bags from Ace so we didn’t have to transport them from home). The weather in Lukla is quite unpredictable so we ended up getting a helicopter to and from Surkey which is just below Lukla. I would anticipate the extra cost just incase the weather isn’t clear enough for the fight to Lukla. Krish was our guide for the 14 days of trekking, and he was a legend! He had a great sense of humour and always had us laughing, I feel like this was so important as some days people were ill, tired etc so his enthusiasm always lifted everyone up. He checked on all of us throughout the day and noticed when we started to feel ill just by observation. Thank you to the porters, we couldn’t have done it without you and I admire how fit you are! When we were struggling on the Cho la pass, you were powering through. I’m pleased we did the Gokyo route as it felt more remote, whereas the main trail to base camp felt very busy. The teahouses were all clean and had hot meals. Remember to bring clean thermals to sleep in as some nights it was very cold. All of the guides were so friendly, and we often met them in different tea houses. Thank you for your help Ram, Deepak & Milan! It’s impossible to describe how good this trip was in a review so I’m going to stop rambling, but if you’re considering a trip in Nepal, use Ace the Himalaya!

My experience with Ace the Himalaya was really great because of many things. Every thing was perfectly organized, I never felt "lost". The kindliness was a permanent company from the beginning to the end of our trip. Our guide Milan, is a incredible friendly and respectful person, who took care about all of us and was always aware of our needs, doubts or questions. Our kitchen crew (Kusang and his team) spoiled us 3 times a day to make sure that we all had enough energy, but more than that, delicious food, healthy and varied - delightful!

This is our second trek with Ace The Himalya, we decided to go again with them as they where so professional and organised the first time, and the second time they didnt disappoint. We decided to do the Everest Base Camp Trek again as the first time we didnt finish it, (no fault of our own) so we felt we had unfinished business. We were greeted at the airport by our guide, Rajendra Neupane, and was taken to our hotel, all the time being informed of the upcoming trek and pre-trek meeting at the Ace office. The Morning of the trek we were meet and driven to the airport and flew into Lukla, it was a great feelings to be back in the mountains after 7.5 years. The first days trek to Phakding is quite an easy day, although with drive to the airport and the flight, it is a long day. The second day you trek to Namche Bazaar, again a good days trek, you get to see and walk over the Hillary Bridge and then a hard climb all up hill. I love Namche, and the hotel you stay in (The Yak Hotel) is probably the best one in the entire trip. From here the trek did turn a little pear shape for us, my wife started to develop Altitude sickness, headaches, vomiting, wasnt sleeping, eating or drinking much. After the acclimatization day was over we trekked to Tengboche, this again was a good trek with a hard 2 hr climb at the very end. Once at the crest of the hill you were greeted to the sights of Tendboche Village and Monastery. The following morning my wife was suffering even more with headache etc, the guide Raj, started to offer options for us, the whole time you felt he actually cared about our wellbeing, but also wanted to get you, if possible to your goal. My wife stayed in bed for an additional couple of hours, and i said about stopping, but after a little sleep my wife decided to push on to Dingboche, as we had another acclimatization day there, which could help with altitude sickness. We got to Dingboche, the place to had to turn around the first trip, and with a headache and no food, the wife made it to 4712m and then back down to the village. In the Morning however, she was still feeling bad and instead of heading to Lobuche we decided her health was more important and headed back to Namche Bazaar. Again Raj offered options to help, like horse or helicopter, but the wife being the trooper she is decided to try and walk it, 7hrs later we were there and she started to finally start feeling better. The Ace office staff in gthe meantime had re-scheduled our flights back to Kathmandu and also our hotel stay. Although we still have unfinished business at Everest Base Camp, we can not fault Ace and there staff, in fact we couldnt praise them enough. We are already talking about our third attempt and when we are ready to book, it will be with Ace The Himalaya, they have well and truely proven themselves and earnt our trust.

I can't say enough about Ace the Himalaya as a company to book with for an adventure like this. They were so responsive while inquiring, booking, follow-up questions, and overall executing the trip. The website is a comprehensive resource for information to plan and prepare and once in Nepal, the team was fantastic. A special shout out to my guide, Manu, and porter, Balkrishna, for escorting me through the entire trek. They ensured my safety and overall enjoyment. They were my companions turned friends by the end of the tour. I would absolutely choose Ace again if I return to Nepal for another trek. Thank you!

What an experience!!!! We booked our Everest Base Camp Trek with Acethehimalaya about 6 months prior to the trek. I did lots of research, spoke loads of other tour operators and read hundreds of reviews and gained confidence that Ace would provide us a great experience at a good price. Prem the owner and his team accommodated all of our needs and even customised the trek at my request to provide an extra acclimatisation day in Namche Bazaar and gave us a great group discount (7 of us in the group) on the helicopter return option that we wanted. The Ace team took care of everything with supreme attention to detail and efficiency Our guide Madan made the whole experience for us. He spoke great English, helped and coached us throughout and inspired us to get to the top. Great sense of humour too, we had loads of laughs which is important as the trek can be tough at times. The porters equally were fantastic and I still struggle to understand how they manage to carry all that eight up and down the mountains at such speed and always with a smile. Special call out for Gilip who carried our bags but was training to be a guide like Madan in the future, literally couldn’t no enough for us… If anyone is looking to trek in the Himalayas and struggling to decide who to go with, I would recommend Acethehimalaya without reservation. So much so we are looking to do another trek with them at some point soon.

I coordinated and planned the trip for my son (15 years old) and my father (73 years old) to complete an EBC Trek together. After a tremendous amount of research, I chose Ace the Himalayas, based mostly on the amount of detail they provided online, the price (especially considering all that was included), and the online reviews. I could not be happier with the experience of working with them. My son and father just returned, and had an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. Their guide, Nimesh, and porter, Yim, were amazing - knowledgeable, patient, supportive, kind, and hardworking. When they needed/wanted to hike at different paces, Yim stepped up and acted as a second guide to allow each to experience sections of the trail at their own speed. The whole group made it to base camp, with some choosing to go on to Kala Patthar. I cannot speak highly enough of Ace the Himalayas. Even back in the States, they were highly responsive when I had questions or needed to relay information (re: flight arrival changes, for instance). They take all the minutiae out of planning, and made the entire experience easy. 1000% would recommend to anyone! Especially Nimesh and Yim!

I have just completed a trek with Ace The Himalayas of 14 days to Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar. My trek was fantastic and all went exactly to plan other than at the last minute we decided to trek Kala Patthar at sunset and not sunrise, as the mornings currently are super cold. We organised our trek with Ace The Himalayas before Covid 19 and Ace supported our commitment until today and not charging us any extras. We completed our deal with Sajiya from the office in Kathmandu and she was fantastic to deal with, honest and punctual, even when we met at our pre trek meeting she was wonderful and helpful. Our guide Nimesh Nepal was an amazing guide and person who worked for us from the very minute we met. He kept our trek on track, ordered and delivered every meal we ate, assisted with altitude issues and was the life of our trek, just a wonderful young man. Porters, Yam Magar and Shyam Tamang are strong, kind and wonderful young men also. They had one of the hardest jobs of all and I did not hear them complain once, they just continued with their day to day works and even helped out with meals and other requirements. Our trek is now over and if you are keen to visit Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar or any other treks in the Himalayas please check out Ace The Himalayas, you won’t be disappointed.
