Aug 28,2019I served in the forces for 25years and then I got a "call" from a firm who said that they could help my pension grow as I wanted to go overseas. Next thing, I switched my pension as it was managed by a "FCA authorised SIPP company" meaning my pension was " safe". They moved the money into "Land and Trees in Costa Rica " and said it was a solid investment and the regulated SIPP firm wouldn't allow high risk and speculative investments to be made. Once I transferred the investment clasped, the " call centre " provided the advice was shut down and gone, and the SIPP company said " hard luck" we didn't give the advice!!! Thanks to APJ solicitors I have so far received £50,000 back as a part payment, and we are now looking to recover the rest, long road but light is starting to shine. Captain D W White
