Apr 10,2022I own five pairs of BLA jeans. They are not cheap, but they are great value. Everything is made to a very high standard from great materials, their fits cover all body types and are reliable year-on-year, and their service is outstanding. Well worth a visit to the store if you can make it, but if not their online support and service is excellent.

Apr 08,2022Was served by Stewart who helped me find the jeans I have been searching for ever since Levis changed 501s which used to be the only jeans I would ever wear. His expert advice once I had selected the Relaxed Heritage Japanese 14oz Denim jeans on fit, wear etc. was great and he understood exactly my specific length requirement and turned them up perfectly. Am really happy I have found a pair of jeans I like after such a long search and am thinking of getting a second pair soon. My only gripe is that the fly buttons are too close together but guess you cant have everything!

Apr 06,2022This is my fourth pair of jeans from Blackhorse. They're very well crafted, the Japanese selvedge softens up beautifully and wears well, and delivery is fast--I specified a custom hem and still got the jeans (in the U.S.) in just a few days. I highly recommend Blackhorse.

Apr 03,2022Bought my second pair of BHL jeans a couple of months ago. Absolutely fantastic in all respects. The guys at Coal Drops Yard are really friendly and helpful - ask their advice as they really know their stuff. The quality of the denim is superb. The cut, finish and general workmanship is amazing. These jeans (NW1 14oz Japanese denim) will probably last longer than I will !!

Mar 31,2022I have been a devoted Japanese Jeans customer for over 25 years, only ever deviating to Cone Mills 501's. But the story of BLACKHORSE LANE fascinated me so I went to take a look. Amazing ! The products are exceptionally made , the attention to detail, the fabrics they use ( I of course selected KURABO) the extra steps they take to make a truly wonderful product. Every detail has been considered & is best in class. Not cheap but in line with the best in class from around the world. I love the jeans & the Trucker jacket I bought.... will definitely be buying again.

Mar 31,2022Absolutely stellar shopping experience! I came in about 30 minutes before closing. Will and me spoke about sizing and style a little, then he bundled me into the changing area with the best fitting pair of jeans I‘d ever tried on. He then took my cuff measurement, and fixed the desired length in less than 30 minutes. The jeans of course are a thing of beauty, wonderful make, great fabric quality, supremely comfortable. I can’t wait to find out how they will develop over time.

Mar 23,2022The WC2s are beautiful jeans, great cut and heavy denim but also comfortable to wear. They have a very well cut waist band that allows a little bit of room so does not cut into the belly. This makes them very wearable unlike many other heavy jeans. The team is very friendly and helpful and will even allow returns on hemmed jeans which I’ve never seen elsewhere. BLA is my go-to jeans place now.

And when I bring them just as it's starting to get worn before the damage is done, it's even cheaper for repairs which helps as well. Fantastic service. They also sell their own jeans but have not tried that out just yet…

Mar 07,2022Great staff, great denim, great experience. Yes, selvedge denim is expensive. No, it isn’t immediately comfortable. But after you break these in, nothing looks or feels better. Tailoring can take a bit, so maybe hold off on getting your flat white until after you’ve paid.
