my wife and i have bought a new car to share and i wanted to change the name over for the main driver to myself and my wife as named driver as qhen i first took out the cover it was the other way around. The primium was to go up by over £250 pounds but we live at the same address and both have over 9 years no claims surely this is poor practice.

Terrible. We started a new policy. They claimed that we have had a claim. We haven’t and can prove it. They’ve emailed and text twice about the issue and say to respond. We have responded twice. No answer. That’s been over a week now. Properly shit.

This is the first time I have changed any insurance in the past 20 years however fed up of being ripped off - this was reasonably priced and easy to get through when phoned!

Easy to set up my car insurance on-line and the best price available for comprehensive cover with a range of benefits. The test comes if I ever have an accident (hopefully not), but all good so far.

Worse customer service I have ever dealt with Not easy to understand Not knowledgeable enough Seemed to have to complete tick boxes regardless of what asked Phone line dropped out! Agent said she had tried to phone back but when this was looked into she had not Two very difficult conversations I cancelled the policy and complained My complaint was with held and a really nice woman called me back to apologise I received a £30 compensation fee Personally I would rather have had a better experience I’m not confident that a claim would have been easy to manage and for these reasons I could not recommend The company could not find a good price cover to meet what I could find online

Budget gave me a very favourable quote. They covered more than some of the more expensive quotes. Reviews were good, but let's hope I never have to test how good they are if I ever had to make a claim.

Only just started with Budget so can't comment on service yet, but application,quoted premium and transfer from last company were all very good. Smooth transition. I can only hope that this year's premium is not hiked at the term end next January (as happened with countless previous companies triggering yet more comparison quotes).

Only a star because I had too, had to change a car policy to a van policy the underwriter wouldn’t cover this. Had to start new policy for the van and pay costs .. had to cancel car policy .. charged again … had 5 years no claims and they didn’t add, and now can’t add them to the van policy.. numerous calls @ 1 hr at a time and it’s cost me around £300 so far…. Every time you ring you speak to someone different… you just explain yourself over and over again ! I will have to cancel this van policy again soon as they don’t do a business policy for hire and reward … so again it will cost !! Call handlers where fine at the point of contact, but they couldn’t decipher why my no claims were not added and can’t be added. So yeah Budget is exactly what it says on the tin …. Budget. I won’t be making this mistake again I’ll stick with the big players at extra cost but better service. Updated They called me back to resolve the issues and apologies for the stress and confusion caused I will award them and extra 2 stars for responding quickly and effectively.
