Jan 08,2025My wife is currently changing her name following our wedding last year. We have two cars, one insured with budget and one elsewhere. For our other car, it was a simple phone call to the insurer to change the name over. For Budget, not only is there a £25 admin fee (which we're willing to pay) but they want to increase the insurance premiums from £23 a month to £31 a month for the remaining 10 months of the insurance year. That's an extra £105 just for changing her name to a marital one, on a policy that only cost £240. AVOID!!

Jan 07,2025Use the various comparison sites for my car insurance, and on balance Budget seemed the best. Process has been very smooth to setup online. Just hope IF I ever need them, it will still be as smooth. 🤞

Jan 07,2025I was asked to send proof of a CUE before a dead line which we did. I was then told our insurance had gone up over £200. I contacted my previous insurance, I was informed that the CUE was on the data Base as a non fault on my behalf. Budget insurance are penalising me for a fault that was not ours.

Few days later got an email stating they were going to increase my initial quote by £300 due to a past claim on my insurance. I had declared at point of taking insurance out so didn’t understand. Looks like the system they check against had incorrect claim details and it was actually the same, single claim. After a call into them, and some faffing around, it was resolved. I just wish they would apply some common sense and resolve these issues themselves and save on customers calling in to resolve to avoid additional stress and anxiety. Anyways, resolved after one phone call but could have been avoided for a stress free experience.
