The issue I needed to deal with was dealt with courteously, efficiently and with sensitivity as I have been going through a challenging time. I have nothing but appreciation for the representative who went above and beyond to resolve my problem. In difficult times he was an outstanding representative for Chess.

Chris Smith was exceptionally helpful. Explained how the new handset differs, demonstrated the changes to my Team. Patiently worked around our staff to minimise down time. The full installation went seamlessly, Chris was very approachable and pleasant throughout, ensuring our understanding of the new devices.

If I could have left no stars I would. Shambles of a company who wouldn’t accept my 30 day notice to them that I would not be renewing my contract. I received a letter in December 2022 to inform me that my contract was ending at the end of January 2023 and that if I didn’t want to renew it I would have to give 30 days notice, so I opened a ticket to let them know I was not renewing my services with them. After having no confirmation from them I contacted them again. They said they had been trying to phone me but couldn’t get any answer, yet they never once left a message, I’m not psychic! I live in a very rural area so mobile phone signal is very hit and miss but I also have a house phone with answer phone. Not one message was left from Chess asking me to contact them. Fast forward to the beginning of February and I received a message informing me they couldn’t accept my notice as I needed to let them know if I was ceasing or porting my services and until I confirmed this my notice couldn’t be accepted….sorry but to the average person like me what does ceasing or porting services even mean? Fast forward again to April 2023 and I received a letter from a solicitor for in excess of £127 in respect of services provided…..but I haven’t had any services since 7 February! Also god help you if your business fails and you’re in a contract with Chess and you want to cancel it. I was told it would cost in excess of £3000 to end my contract!

Quill Construction Ltd. We have had Martin Cosgrove installing our new VOIP system. Martin has been very helpful and understanding when installing our new telephones. He is a very friendly and knowledgeable gentleman and took his time to explain to all our staff how to use the new telephones and didn't leave site until we were all happy with the telephones and knew how to use them.

We found that Liz O'Connor understood our problem and managed to rectify it, to satisfactory solution. I give her the praise, because everyone else who got involved with the issue, completely messed it up or gave up, didn't respond and then passed it on to someone else.

After an unfortunate fire at our premises Trevor Lines and engineer Chris Smith came to our rescue and got our phone service moved to new offices in record time to make sure that we could continue to operate. many Thanks

After giving notice to leave Chess following continuous poor service and overcharging, we were finally provided with an attentive and helpful service by Kerryann, who eventually got us to the finish line in a timely and mutually agreeable fashion, (hence the 4 stars). It was good to finally deal with someone at Chess who was attentive and understood our position, and it's a shame we didn't get that a bit more throughout the time we were customers. I'd also like to provide a good word for Adam Newton, who was our last account [manager]. It's a shame that someone with that job role within your organisation isn't allowed more discretionary freedom to make decisions, instead of just being a point of contact, and having their hands tied by your system of decision making up the chain.
