Jan 27,2025I was sent someone else's order (gloves, when I ordered ear muffs). I have never had such difficulty in rectifying the problem, spoke to the owner on the phone who said he would send the correct order out but never did, I kept sending emails which were ignored. I had to go through PayPal in the end and even then he said he had refunded me when he had not so I has to keep pushing till I got the refund and he expected me to send the wrong item back at my expense!!

Jan 21,2025They do not respond to emails or calls. When I finally got through after numerous attempts I spoke with the owner who was so unbelievably rude! Customer service is clearly not their strong point. There is only a 2 week timeframe to return your order so shopping for Christmas is not advisable especially if you shop a week or two before Christmas. I was out of time to return my item. Would not shop there again nor recommend it.

Jan 12,2025Sent 7 e mails to both sales@ and info@ and they have replied to none. Been e mailing for 3 weeks now and explained I am deaf and can’t use the phone. Have been a loyal and regular customer for many years but will be going elsewhere now.

Jan 06,2025Getting a refund is impossible. I sent back £500 worth of goods. Proof of receipt 10th December but 4 weeks later still not received a refund on my account. I’ve called 3 times now and emailed customer services, but sill no luck. Do not use this company if you think you may need to return the items you have ordered.

Dec 10,2024My experience was appalling service. All chaser emails ignored, no refund given - had to invoke chargeback. If they managed comms in a smarter way and responded to my advice and guidance email they would have not have lost a sale, and I would have bought a replacement. They used to be a great company to do business with. If you want cowhide rugs TKMaxx are a great alternative, range is smaller but they mange customer comms and refunds much better. TKMaxx also pack items with care. My experiences (more than one) with City Cows is they shove them in a box with no packing/coverage.

Nov 01,2024Firstly the good- ordering & subsequent acknowledgement was fine; the rug itself is just what I wanted & I'm very pleased with it. However, the delivery box was dreadful. It was dreadfully bashed; tired looking sellotape was vainly trying to hold it together yet failing & tufts of fur were sticking out. It didn't match the online description of delivery materials whatsoever. Worst delivery box I've ever had. Shame.

Oct 23,2024AVOID AT ALL COSTS if you want to return items and get a refund. I received ZERO communication when I sent my items back, I ended up having to open a dispute and even then my bank had to refund me while they still waited for a reply from city cows!!!!!! Terrible customer service and looks like refunds aren’t as easy as they claim!!!!! Shame on then!

Oct 14,2024I have bought a rug from this site previously when I received an email offering me free sheepskin gloves if I ordered a second sheepskin rug. I thought it was a good deal so ordered the rug which arrived minus the gloves. I found the rug to be slightly smaller than original rug but as I was due to receive free gloves I was happy to keep. After sending 3 separate emails to customer service asking when I would receive the rest of my order I have still not received either a reply, explanation or the goods. No contact at all. Such a shame to have poor follow up to query. Puts me off ordering in future or recommending to friends and family.

Sep 29,2024A few years ago I ordered some cow hide cushions , very pleased when they arrived and have lasted . Moved house and wanted to order more but a specific colour . Ordered two and great . Went straight back on and ordered more of the larger size . They arrived , wrong colour and of the smaller size . Contacted City Cows by phone and email several times with photos of cushions and invoice . Obviously they didn’t match . Always promised a call back , never happened and I have paid premium for smaller size and wrong colour. Customer service appalling, it’s a shame as I like the products and wanted to order more ..

Feb 14,2025I ordered the XXL sheepskin rug, which is actually just a standard size sheepskin rug & 2 matching cushions. The fur is not soft & the rug was terrible quality with bald patches around the edge where the fur did not fully cover the lining. I have emailed them twice to request a return but have had no response. I have also tried calling but no one answers. I am now sending all products back with signed for delivery, at my expense, and can only hope I receive my refund…although they only process refunds twice a month according to their website. Terrible products, terrible service & not particularly cheap!
