Superb guide (Sala), fantastic quality of hotels: excellent rooms, great facilities, quality food and close to the places we were visiting. Very calm when passengers had problems. I visited over 100 countries and he was without doubt the best guide of which I have experience.

Excellent holiday covering major points of interest in Jordan. Minor point - Petra day 2 is, per the itinerary, guided. Not according to our guide. However free day is much better as differing abilities of the group meant everyone did what they wanted. Just say it’s a free day to explore

What a great country! We had an excellent guide, Nick who was very knowledgeable, and we visited may fascinating places, including some wine tasting! I would highly recommend this well organised trip.

Everything was well organised, even though I was joining the UK group from Australia. The Romanian guide Paula, and Romanian driver Peter, were excellent. I have emailed separately to C and K about a very long day [21 September) that needs to be totally re-thought/ rescheduled. I would definitely travel with C and K again.

Maria, our tour guide was exceptional - thoughtful, informative and entertaining. She really made the whole tour for us. Pavlos, our driver, was superb - very courteous and certainly knew his vehicle in even the most challenging of traffic manoeuvres! The whole group of 18 were pleasant company and nicely congenial. This was the first time we have visited Greece. The tour itinerary was very comprehensive, and we now feel that we know Greece a lot better. However, the hotel at both Olympia and Delphi really were rather shabby, and not up to the usual Cox and Kings standard. The food at both places was also poor. On the last day of the tour there was far too much driving for everyone concerned - 8 hours in fact! We felt that it would be better on the last day to visit Dion and Mt Olympus area, and then go on to Thessaloniki. After that, to fly back to Athens from there. It would be most interesting and the journey would take about one hour! Perhaps this would be made possible for future tours? Overall, we have had a truly wonderful and memorable excursion - mostly due to the wonderful Maria!

Really interesting tour with very good guide. However very little spare time, lot of walking and it felt like a 10 day tour squeezed into 8. However very enjoyable and amazing history, churches, temples etc.

Truly excellent guide made this holiday worthwhile, for she understood the need for regular breaks in our long coach trips as well as being informative and friendly. While it was good to see so much of the country, there was a great deal of travelling by coach which was wearisome. The hotels were, generally, of at least acceptable and sometimes good standard.

Excellent guides, super, convenient hotels and well-paced days - the perfect way to visit Pompeii and Naples.

The booking was very easy. The hotel was great with a wide selection for breakfast. The group was small (10) and the guide was excellent with faultless English. Slovenia is a beautiful and the guide was justifiably proud of his country. However, the trip that we received wasn’t the original one that we booked. We initially accepted this, although, we were disappointed that we were not warned that some places (eg Piran) were no longer on the itinerary, as we had reserved our places some time before. We understand that prices rise. However, the itinerary that we received two weeks before our trip wasn’t correct either. On Monday we were supposed to have a boat trip along the river but this was not included. On Friday we were supposed to have a carriage ride but again this didn’t happen, we just looked at a few horse in their stalls. The bee keeping ‘tour’ was just looking at three bee hives on top of a hotel and then walking some considerable distance to poke a stick in some honey after a short talk. The itineraries of the different members of the group also appear to have been different. Even more disappointingly we were not contacted after the trip by Cox and King for any feedback. The form was just for the booking system but I hope that it is passed on to the relevant department. We will not be rebooking with this company again.

Called to enquire about a Thailand holiday for 2025. When searching on google for Thailand holidays 2025, Cox & Kings comes with Thailand holidays 2024-2025. When I got through to James and asked if they could do bookings for Thailand 2025, he told me they cannot do group bookings for 2025 they only do tailor made. I have to say the response was unexepected. I never mentioned group bookings, I just asked if they could book for 2025, he did not even bother to ask me about my intentions / I was enquiring about a tailor made holiday. All I can say is that put me off booking with them, first impressions count and on this occassion they did not even bother to get any details or ask what I was looking for.

A full on trip seeing the highlights of Uzbekistan. The schedule is hectic for the first few days, you can catch up on sleep later. We loved Khiva and the hotel was perfectly located to enjoy the sites early and late when other visitors were gone. Hotel in Bukhara equally well sited for revisiting the sites. Tashkent and Samarkand, busy big cities with a very different feel. Mashkhura was a great guide, looking after us the whole trip, providing great detail about the sites and organising lovely treats for the group members special events. Transport was a good standard, with lots of room for the size of the group (11) .Vegetarians can eat much better than travel books will have you believe and some of the meals included were excellent (Khiva).

It's Jordan itself that made this experience great. Everyone should go. The most amazing sightseeing and friendly trustworthy lovely people. Great food too at all "included" meals. Excellent transport, driver and guide, although he was very quiet and difficult at times to hear. As an archaeologist, it would have been more interesting for me to have had a guide with a background in archaeology at sites such as Jerash, Petra and Shobak where excavations are still taking place. A bonus to have unlimited chilled water on the coach. Hotels were great and in great locations - this really mattered at Petra and the Dead Sea. Great to be able to just cross the road and enter the Petra museum, visitor centre and Siq. Movenpick at the Dead Sea was exceptional. Our 4-wheel driver at Wadi Rum drove very sympathetically for my husband who has a back injury. Just a few picky minus comments: a shame not to see the modern Amman and we weren't offered the optional night tour there; our room at the InterContinental at Amman needs a bit of tlc; the candlelit evening show at Petra was disappointing although being in the Siq at night was a great experience; the penultimate day's driving from Petra to Wadi Rum and then up to the Dead Sea was too long at 6-7 hours in total and our 3pm "lunch stop and venue" was too late and not good with a choice of limited "snacks" of crisps or packets of cake OR the main buffet style meal which did not look appealing and was in short supply; we weren't offered the Bethany East of Jordan optional tour. Some of our group added extensions either to Aqaba or the Dead Sea: having only researched and booked online we weren't aware of extension opportunities as I understand they are clearly offered in your brochure but not obvious online; a shame as we would have extended our stay. Finally, the holiday is advertised as 8 days/7 nights - this is very misleading as you are counting our time at Heathrow/Amman Airports and in the air as 2 of those 8 days - we arrived at our hotel at 2.30 am on the morning of our "second day". The flights from LHR to Amman are too late in the day. Check in at Amman was not good with only between 2 and 4 check in desks open for ALL Royal Jordanian flights at their flagship airport. Fortunately we had a meet and greet agent looking after us but even he was stressed by this. Otherwise it was an amazing trip and I would recommend it to everyone.

The boat on the Nile was superb. I could not fault it in any way. The crew were charming, helpful, and cheerful. The food was first class, the cabin was excellent, The Kempinski hotel in Cairo was not 5 stars. 3 perhaps. The staff were at times surly, the food in the restaurant was, apart from breakfast which was excellent, third rate. The swimming pool was very good, service up there for food or towels dead slow. . But we saw nothing of Cairo except the drive from airport to pyramids at Giza, museum and hotel, and back to the airport x 3. The guide did not suggest where we might walk safely, where we might eat, what we might wish to dee even if we had to hire a cab. We spent two days in Cairo and saw nothing of the city, except the drives mentioned above. The guide (Greek) in Cairo for the pyramids and museum was excellent. The guide for the Nile part of the trip was highly qualified, and interested in his subject, but less interested in his SUBJECTS, ie the group. He lost one couple once, and we waited 45 minutes which meant we were too late to see the alabaster factory. On another occasion three people somehow got separated, and that was scary as we did not have a phone number or any means of contacting the guide. It was a fabulous trip down the Nile, with a genial selection of fellow travellers, and I hate to be critical but we might have seen, or been offered the chance to see more of Cairo?

Very easy to talk with and were able to adapt and be flexible with their suggestions depending on our group needs. Our second Group tour we have booked and cannot fault them. Previous tour around India was exceptional

Although we’ve not travelled as yet, the service we have received has been great. Sher has helped us enormously with out Sri Lanka holiday and I’m sure his local knowledge will be invaluable.
