This is just a review of the website, found it difficult to get what i wanted which was a short holiday for two to Malta, most information seemed to be for adventure type holidays and not for simple multi day escorted tours of between three to six hours long visiting differant ares of Malta with an escort to do the driving and point us in right direction for things to see. did not cover dissabilities in the site ie difficulty in walking or use of transport aids such as walkers or wheelchairs, as for further information it was down to making phone calls. all in all the website is not bad but does lack information. Did not go any further as it seemed to be for " adventure" and not sedate travel.
They went the extra mile to help us with a particular problem
Very prompt reply to an email enquiry. I was telephone and I explained what we were looking for. The agent was very helpful and fully explained the holiday. Very happy with the service.
Spoke with Sebastian about a trip to Ubekistan, his knowledge of the country simply amazed me! From the moment we began the call he was so enthusiastic and passionate about the destination. I did not book due to Covid-19, even though Sebastian assured me about their book with confidence policy and how they look after my safety during travel, I felt it too soon to travel this autumn. Good work Sebastian and keep up your positive spirit... I will be back when Covid settles and will book with Cox Kings.
Giving this company one star feels generous - a year ago we returned from a holiday organised by them in Guyana. From the beginning to the end it was not the holiday we had planned - despite on numerous occasions contacting the local agent and emailing the UK office nothing was done. On return I then spent two months complaining and being passed around the company. With the onset of Covid I took a derisory cash offer - if any company needed to out of business it was this one. Do not travel with them.
We were very impressed with the service provided by Cox & Kings when we were planning a trip to Sri Lanka and the Maldives. Unfortunately the holiday ended up being cancelled in the end due to Covid restrictions but throughout the process, Roop Kumar was a pleasure to talk to, very knowledgable of our options, always willing to go above and beyond and very patient of all the tweaks we wanted to make!! We are definitely planning on rebooking once this pandemic is finally over!!
We had our best ever tour (The Grand Tour of South America) with Cox and Kings and were looking forward to another great adventure with them later this year when circumstances beyond anyone's control sadly intervened. The support we received from Cox and Kings throughout this period has been exceptional and we look forward to travelling with them once again as soon as our situation permits. Fully recommended.
Friendly and helpful staff, happy to answer any questions that you may have and organise good value trips
When my trip to Peru was cancelled because of Covid-19, Cox and Kings was excellent. The team kept me informed every step of the way, persuaded BA to give me a refund rather than a voucher, and repaid all my money. I will definitely book with them again when travel to South America resumes.
Very helpful and knowledgeable. Would recommend. 10 out od 10
Good service, informative and helpful
Following the cancellation of our holiday to Morocco due to Covid-19, we were given a refund credit voucher as recommended by ABTA.However due to our age and uncertainty about future travel arrangements, we requested a full cash refund instead of the voucher. Although it took some time and was paid in 2 instalments, we are pleased to report that we have now received a full cash refund. Press reports suggest only Trailfinders and Kuoni are giving cash refunds but it appears Cox and Kings are also offering this facility upon request. We are very grateful for their assistance in these difficult times.
Still awaiting a refund from holiday booked for March. Customer relations informed us the monies had all been obtained from airlines etc and the refund had been authorised. Promised the refund would be with our travel agent on or before 11th May but still no sign of any money - and no update. Very poor service. No reply on this platform either from the company. Full refund now received including flight refund from KLM which many travellers have struggled with. Thank you Cox and Kings.
We have been very impressed with our experience with Cox and Kings. Sadly our trip to S America was cancelled when Covid 19 struck. We were kept informed as the way ahead. Our questions were answered promptly and sympathetically. We would like to thank Emma, Josh and Aanjla for their kindness.
Still awaiting £13,000 refund after 6 weeks following the cancelation of our trip. They have furlowed most of their staff but still cannot afford to pay refunds in a timely manner that they are obliged to pay under the contract. The practise of companies like this of using funds that customers pay for other things rather than for the holiday needs to change - they need to be required to set up trust accounts. The reply posted below is erroneous - the delay is caused by lack of funds rather than a lack of staff (they are quick to reply to emails etc. to make excuses and put up barriers to providing the refunds). The suggestion that 'they are trying to recover funds for customers' is again misleading as the customers are entitled to the refunds irrespective of whether C&K make a recovery. They have said they will return some of the money only so far. Still awaiting the balance as of 30/5/20.
Our holiday to Uzbekistan leaving on March 27 was cancelled and we were promised a full refund. After numerous emails and phone calls, and being told it could take up to 60 days, we finally got our refund on 29 April.
Abysmal from the time of booking, which took several attempts, to the current debacle during Covid 19. Utterly vacuous 'updates' from MD & Chairman, which said nothing about already booked & paid for holidays. My own letter of complaint, on this basis, to the MD has been completely ignored. When one of the holidays we had booked was cancelled, no offer of a cash refund-yet this is our LEGAL RIGHT! This was then followed up by a separate statement that 'refunds take 60 days'-again illegal, as the required turn-round is 14 days- but a credit note can be issued within a week.... This lack of correct & legal communication is in sharp contrast to C&K's competitors, whose responses have been uniformly exemplary. We have paid C&K almost £7000 this year & have been ignored from start to finish, as if this summon money was negligible. None of this will be forgotten...
Our "holiday of a lifetime" was cancelled by Cox and Kings on 2 April due to the virus. While initial contact was not brilliant, it looks like it was down to lack of staff and they have now agreed a date for refund. We will book again with them when we can.
Losing our trust in this company! We asked for our refund on 12th March and just keep hearing more and more excuses! Our Holiday to India would have been from 3rd - 17th April, but still no sign of the refund despite following up numerous times. Got to agree with the other postings... lies and evasion every step so far!

May 06,2021Very happy with the level of service and attention to needs given by Josh. Whilst booking separately, there are three of us going on the same holiday and he handled all our individual and collective enquiries very rapidly.
