The booking experience was excellent. We reserved our holiday for 2 days and then confirmed. However, when the ATOL certificate was emailed soon after booking, the dates of our holiday were incorrect. Rather surprised that a company of Cox and King's reputation could make a mistake that could, potentially, have dire consequences for the traveller. Sincerely hope that will be the only error.

All our questions re the trip to Belarus were answered including flight details. The representative was very helpful. The booking process very easy.

Cox & Kings have dedicated staff members for different countries.. These are knowledgable staff members who give brilliant advice.. We have used Cox & Kings several times for tours which have always been a huge success.

Ruchi contacted me as promised last year as soon as prices were available for the trip I was interested in. She then followed up to answer all my questions and delivered a quote very promptly!!

This was our first booking with C + K, and I was very impressed. My travel advisor Galina was very helpful and friendly, and very knowledgeable about our trip to Uzbekistan. She fully answered all my queries.

I had an awful experience with Vessela, I spend a lot of money on luxury travel and normally book with the likes of Kuoni and Scott Dunn, I went to the travel show last week and I noticed the Cox and Kings beautiful, eye catching stand, so I decided to find out more information. I asked Vessela a question and she completely ignored me. I was so shocked by how rude she was, After calling her 3 times she finally came over to me but gave me short yes and no answers in an abrupt manner!! Vessela made it very clear that she did not want to help me. This made me feel very embarrassed and unimportant. I would suggest Vessela have an updated customer service training course, as no potential customer should be made to feel upset and unimportant!

enjoyed our previous private tour of Uzbekistan. All arrangements ran smoothly and special requests were accommodated. so looking forward to this years small group tour of Greece. I have spent a long time looking for a tour with the itinerary I wanted and this one is very nearly perfect

Excellent service from a knowledgeable and thoughtful advisor. We should be happy with the service received. However, having had last year's identical tour cancelled for lack of numbers, this next tour we booked is not well enough subscribed yet! So, £500 deposit taken and our consideration of alternative trips by other providers is blighted. Understandably, left uncertain with a one-sided cancellation possible, we are not satisfied.

Payment of deposit was taken but no receipt or confirmation was received until chased. It took nearly 2 weeks to confirm an additional night in the hotel before our tour. Saving grace and raised score from 2 to 3, was that advisor said there was no added value in booking flights through Cox and Kings and saved £400 by booking it myself.

After the review posted below I was contacted by George from Customer Services at Cox & Kings and had a lengthy discussion with him about the points I had raised. It seems the company will be reviewing how their trips are advertised and that as the new owners are only responsible for bookings from the date of the takeover they are restricted in the amount of compensation they can offer. At least they followed up my complaint but I would probably not trust them with my money again unless it is clear that the advertising of trips truly reflects the physical activity required so that anyone with mobility issues will be aware before booking. It turns out that this company went into Administration in December 2019 and have been acquired by Abercrombie and Kent. Anyone planning on booking a holiday with this company please be aware that they do not issue physical levels for their tours as other tour operators do. I went on a tour to Panama and Costa Rica in October 2019. A couple of the hotels were not of the standard I would have expected considering the cost of the tour ( also in questionable districts as regards safety). The main problem was that one of the tour group had severe mobility issues which impacted the rest of the group. Although the person recognised she would be unable to come on all of the forest walks she still came out with us but waited in the visitor centre/cafe which put time pressures on the rest of the group and on the occasion when she did walk with us we had to walk so slowly that we couldn’t see everything we might have done. If any potential customer has health issues Cox and Kings put their advice to contact them to discuss within their general t&c’s on their homepage and do not issue warnings about suitability of each individual trip like most other tour operators. On my return I wrote to the company and complained but after a couple of weeks chased and it had not been received so then I emailed and received an acknowledgment stating that they were investigating. Over a month went by so I chased this morning and was told about them being bailed out and offered a goodwill gesture against a future holiday with them. Needless to say they have been informed that I will not be accepting their offer.
