Mar 15,2024We’ve been getting the bi-monthly deer box for about a year and we’ve been consistently pleased with the quality. It’s a good staple to keep in the freezer for family meals. They have great customer service, very quick responses when we wanted to add to our regular order.

Mar 13,2024Wild deer is running amok in the south of England and authorities are considering a widespread cull. The resultant venison is being considered to be fed to hospital patients, schoolchildren and prisoners. Given the foregoing I can't see why the offering from Deer Box is relatively expensive! I appreciate that venison from Deer Box is freshly frozen and requires packaging appropriately but the materials used make quite an environmental impact. Lastly I find the venison sausages are over seasoned with chilli which obscures the natural taste. In all three respects Deer Box do not receive my vote and sadly there will not be any further orders from yours truly!

Feb 21,2024Really pleased with the packaging - everything was still frozen solid, and I am sure I can find a use for the wool packaging in my greenhouse! We have tried the sausages, burgers and diced steak so far. All excellent! I was worried that the sausages maybe too dense, but they were lovely casseroled. Steak went into a traditional beef stew recipe, lovely. Burgers, really nice - very peppery which I personally liked.
