It's been 12 months since my final 'fitting'.I thought I'd give it a while before writing a review. Firstly, I've read the number of five star reviews and are happy that so many people had a good experience with Dentaprime, unfortunately this wasn't the case for me. On the initial consultation I let the person carrying out the interview know that I would not be interested if I had to wear dentures for any length of time, I was advised that only on very rare occasions did anyone need to wear dentures. My mouth was scanned for bone density, I signed up and a few weeks later went back for the first treatment (lower jaw). The few teeth I had were removed and, after a lot of drilling the implants fitted and gums stitched up. It was then that I was told I'd have to wear dentures for six months because the bone density was insufficient to allow fitting of the bridge before the six month recovery period was up. My first complaint was, as the bone density had previously been scanned and been found to be lacking - and I had categorically stated I'd rather not have it done than wear dentures, was the procedure continued without clarifying the situation with me? A while later I went back for the top set to be done, this went almost according to plan, teeth extracted, implant pegs fitted and I returned a few weeks later to have the bridge fitted. I was 'lucky' this happened during Covid, so I wasn't wearing the dentures provided (small mercies). While at the clinic I was told that the bridge fitted was a temporary one and a more permanent one would be fitted upon my return. During the six months waiting to go back to the clinic I bit into an apple and the temporary bridge split in two. There was no discomfort or movement so I waited until the six months were up and reported it to the clinic when I returned for the lower jaw bridge. I was then told, as the top bridge was damaged I had to pay an additional £200 to replace it - I pointed out that I was there, under their instruction - to have the permanent one fitted and the (damaged) temporary one replaced. No matter, I had to pay the £200. Failure to do so would result in no further work (which I had already paid for) being undertaken. I reluctantly handed over the money stating I wanted to talk to someone in authority to discuss what I saw as a blatant rip off, which was agreed. Both upper and lower bridges were then fitted and within 24 hours I was phoning to complain that I was basically chewing the inside of my mouth off when eating. An appointment was set up for the following week, I arranged to get there half an hour earlier to discuss the £200 which was agreed. First, the meeting, the guy I spoke to nodded his head when needed, issued platitudes of sympathy, agreed to take the complaint to his superiors and would contact me later that week. I then went and had two new bridges fitted, 24 hours later, another phone call because, while a slight improvement, I was still chewing my cheek more than chewing my food. Another return a week later when I was told that there was nothing wrong and the only way to improve the chewing was to purchase the zircona bridges (another £5,000) as I pointed out to them, they couldn't get the cheaper options right, had not returned my £200 and were now trying to get more money out of me...... nope, not happening. With that, one of the supervisors came in and pointed out that the teeth were protruding forward and, by reducing the protrusion, the likelihood of me biting myself when eating would be reduced. So, yet another appointment made. As I was walking out I bumped into the guy who I'd discussed the £200 excess fee paid, asked why he hadn't returned the promised call to me and he guaranteed that he would contact me within the next few days. Move forward another week, another fitting, this time a lot better. I still catch my cheek or lip on occasion, but can put up with it. I have a lisp now, which I was assured would go away, it hasn't, and two weeks after the final fitting I'm getting calls for booking the six monthly hygiene appointment. I tell them it's only been a couple of weeks, as their records should show, they apologised and said they would contact me nearer the date. Less than a week later, another call for the same thing, same response. On the third time I got a bit fed up and told them not to contact me again, and then blocked their number. I'm still waiting for them to contact me with regard to the £200, and I've received a few emails encouraging me to book an appointment to see if I'm suitable for 'All on Four' The back of the bottom bridge has deteriorated, the 'laminate' or outer coat has worn away or just degraded. I'm looking to get the bridges replaced but don't think I'll be using Dentaprime!

I have no hesitation in recommending everyone to go to Dentaprime , especially if you are nervous . From start to finish the care given by all staff was exemplary. Every step was explained in detail and my options discussed taking my feelings in to account. I am super happy with the result after years of being miserable.
