Inept supplier who kept getting my direct debit details wrong & did not take out any payments that mounted up to 9 months, then all of a sudden they started to contact me about non payment for bills. They do not send any bills out to customers via e-mail or post, so you have to check out all usage details and calculate bill amount for yourself on their website to see if it is correct. I have never before experienced such issues with any other supplier before and definitely Would not recommend this supplier to anyone i know. P.s They are not registered with the ombudsman so that the ombudsman can not take your complaints up with them !
as soon as i had changed to Economy Seven, they put the price up significantly, they now owe me money , not impressed.
This is my second review as Economy 7 replied to the first saying there had been no price increases since November 2018. I originally started paying 66.08 in December 2018. This increased without warning to 75.64 in Feb 2019 and then again to 92.49 in July 2019. Furthermore I have an email from Economy 7 Energy dated 8th Feb 2019 stating that prices for energy would be rising on 10th March 2019. These are definitely price increases! And they happen without warning.
Did all the hard work of the changeover of suppliers.

Very simple to switch, staff have been polite and helpful & pricing is acceptable. I can enter meter readings when I want (although I think they should be done monthly but we are away a lot and this option does help). Do not see any reason to change soon.

Difficult to get hold of customer services and bills seem higher than expected despite applying for heavy use family paymentd but overall cheaper than other suppliers.
Ask for information on meter and once given no feedback or what our credit is or adjustments to billing

Increased price a month after I joined. Website poor, keep getting error messages when trying to download bills
Not helpful or good communication. No number to call. All online until when you need to speak to them and then very difficult to contact.
I am very happy with the price and service that I have received.
A much improved website in recent months makes for a better online experience. Telephone contact is also very good and along with a good price an all round great company.

Smooth, efficient changeover with a competitive tariff
Credible & Fair Alternative ... Switch process easy but the website a lot to be desired. Not sure how DD is calculated and how can be influenced. Seems they claim an amount but with no customer control over it. That is something I strongly recommend Economy 7 to change promptly The promised savings seem ok should you want to go through the process. Speaking to a real person is refreshing and easy to do.
I switched to Economy Seven energy because it offered a good reate and specialised in Economy 7 plans. I was disappointed when shortly after joining the tariff was increased substantially. I had thought that the price was fixed. More fool me for not checking!
