Nov 16,2023I did a primer coat. It seemed ok. It hardened, but was not smooth. I sanded the top a bit and put what I wanted to be a final coat. It was not smooth either. Parts of my work, as in a small spot or a deeper depression in the wood, are still tacky like a piece of tape, while other parts cured well. The unevenness is like a low bead of water on a waxed vehicle. I don't think this is going to work on my oak slab. I am disappointed. This has taken a lot of my free time in sanding, prep, and reworking. I would have been better off, without a ruined beautiful piece of wood by laying down several coats of poly.
