The fact that they do a free initial estimate before they charge for their work was especially great. Thanks for saving a decades worth of my family photos

Dec 16,2019My bosses computer, I work in the IT dept. I have had hard drives crash before and have been able to get the data off of them. This time no dice and go figure it is the bosses computer. Fields Data Recovery was great. I was a little leary sending out a drive but I had nothing but a positive experience with everyone involved. It was so easy and worry free. Thanks you made me look every bit the hero to my boss.

Dec 12,2019My hard drive was permanently damaged by this company. They fried the ROM chip and sent it back with a "What me worry?" and "Sorry, life sucks sometimes" response. They took no responsibility and I permanently lost photos I hadn't backed up at the time. I had two other people look at it over the past two years and even the hard drives' manufacturer couldn't even start to recover any information. They dragged me along for months, careful not to email me as I could have used that information against them. All communication (if communicated at all) was by phone, so it's just my words over theirs. The British part of this company are much more professional. When the second data recovery technician talked to one at a conference, they were appalled at the customer service I received, and tried to help me themselves, but my records were somehow unable to be located, even though it had only been a few months after my catastrophic experience with them. Avoid these scammers- they will try to sell you a fantasy but end up giving you a nightmare.

I had a Western Digital Passport with 2 tb of a life's worth of work, and 15 years of my daughter's life. Nothing I tried online worked. They had it up and on a brand new external within a few weeks!

While I understand the very nature of this type of data recovery can be expensive, estimates from other companies were uneconomical to pursue. Dec 18,2019Like many others, I was devastated when my hard drives stopped working, potentially losing 10 years of priceless family memories. I had the pleasure of working with Emily who was considerate to my situation and provided a no surprise outline of what I should expect during this process. She gathered all of the necessary information from me up front to ensure she was providing the appropriate service to me (ie file formats, type of files, etc). The total process took around a week and a half. The majority, if not all of the files had been recovered (I didnt validate all 3 TB's of information). Fields was also able to price match other offers I received. Thank you Fields for helping to save our family's memories!
