I stepped on my new glasses and needed to replace them. The optometrist couldn't order my frames (my favorite ever) because the manufacturer said they were out. So, I found exactly my frame at Frames Direct. They don't hug my face properly yet, so I'll need to have them adjusted again. The hinges don't seem as secure as my original pair. Once they fit properly, my rating will be six stars.

So.... Sunglasses not delivered. No explanation - no contact. Posted a blunt and accurate review of their service on TrustPilot. FramesDirect disputed the review (esentially calling me a liar) - but still hadn't contacted me.... days after the review someone finally contacted me with an explanation. It took a bruising TrustPilot review, which they managed to get taken down to get any response. TrustPilot isn't trustworthy - companies like FramesDirect expend more effort trying to manage bad reviews away than actually dealing with the customer. If I could give TrustPilot a no-star review, I'd do so. I expect this review will be blocked too... So I got an e-Mail from someone at FramesDirect… they told me the Sunglasses were back ordered through July 12… it’s July 16…frames still “in process” … no one has contacted me from Frames Direct with any explanation… silence. If you believe the five-star rating here… hmm…

Horrible quality control for prescription glasses. I have high prescription and it was my first time buying glasses online. I selected the thinnest lens and "premium lens package" for blue light filtering, edge polishing, and other coatings due to my high prescription. I received the glasses recently and it was not good. The lenses are mounted sloppily on the frame as both were crooked in a weird direction. It seems like there is no blue light filtering (unless there is some new technology that the bluelight does not appear yellower that I don't know about) and the edge was definitely not polished. I paid a lot for the glasses and lenses even with the discount ($400+ after discount) and expected the quality to be better, but I think I will just stick to costco or my local optical store to get a high quality pair of glasses and services. I thought by selecting a reputable brand online would give me similar experience as in person, just with a wider selection, but I was disappointed and would probably not buy glasses online again.

Paid for sunglasses that never showed up. Every few weeks I would get a “customer service” email that the glasses are delayed. That extended past TWO months. Yet another “status check in” email said that there might be some movement about info on July 1st, which would have been close to 3 months since my original order date. Reached out to Frames Direct to see if they can sub out same name and model sunglasses for a different color, due to the fact that I’ve essentially loaned them my money for a very long time, with nothing to show for it. They refused that without upcharging me for a price difference. Thats a poor customer service. First of all, don’t list sunglasses on your website, if you don’t have them in stock. Second of all,what nerve you have to upcharge me for a different color of same make+model sunglasses, after taking my money for multiple months and sitting on it, without as much as trying to find a resolution for me. My customer service experience was terrible. Person responding to me showed no interest in fixing the issue and most correspondence was just a sentence long. However they have time to respond in length to positive reviews on here. You do the math
