Jan 08,2025This Black & White Portrait was a little dark & muddy. It is not crisp like it is on my Mac Book Pro. I am having a series of prints made for a gallery showing. So this was a test.

Inkjet can’t quite compete yet when it comes to the very best quality. It’s great to still have the traditional choice through this superb pro lab.

Aug 07,2024I have been using Fromex for my B&W prints for several years now, and they always exceed my expectations. Lately I shoot most of my B&W on Ilford film, and send the scans to Fromex. The silver halide true B&W prints I receive via the USPS are gorgeous; exactly what I have come to expect from Fromex. The Ilford Pearl photo paper they use is superb. I have also sent digital files from my DSLR cameras with excellent results. The proprietor of Fromex is a great person, and a pleasure to deal with. I will continue to use Fromex as long as they are in business, or until I am too old to hold a camera!

Jul 08,2024I have placed two separate orders with Fromex, all of which were black and white prints. The first order came out great, as did the second order with the exception of two prints. Both prints came out a little dark or shadowy. I send in my pictures to be printed digitally and when compared to what I see on my monitor and what I received, the pictures were off. I emailed Fromex about the issue and they responded promptly. They suggested calibrating my monitor, which I didn't think off, and offered to reprint the two darker prints. I have been very pleased with the quality and look of the true black and white prints. Fromex is my new go to for all my black and white prints.
