May 27,2017I uploaded scans of a pair of negatives from the 1930s to obtain true black and white prints. The prints I received were absolutely gorgeous with rich detail and perfect tones. The service was excellent from start to finish and the turnaround time was very short. 5 stars!

May 27,2017i highly recommend that they work on their customer service and greatly improve salesmanship of giving options and giving good advice before the final print or mounted and framed.... Earning their customer for repeated business. John you heard me question about my own print. Why didn't you ask me then if I need a reprint before mounting it? Yes you did the work expedient. I did send you an email not to mount it just yet because I had second thoughts and wanted to cancel out, so I can do the rework on the photograph before mounting it...What hurt me the most, you tried to sell pitch me to reprint it in gloss-paper because it had orange pill on gatorboard and you use it as a rebuttal. It seems you played on my emotions and finally you gave me an advice which would cost me more money to redo the work. I wish only that you have gave me advice up front. And hopefully we can learn from these mistakes... Communication is key if you have the knowledge of printing mounting techniques that might benefit to us photographers/end users. John you got to tell yourself, can it benefit them or detriment them as a prospect so I might keep them as a client? And how can I satisfy their needs and earn their business for profitability and Word of Mouth?

May 12,2017I have always had great experiences with Fromex. I utilized their services in Belmont Shore for the last four years, and was always impressed with the competency, courtesy and professionalism of the staff; usually, I needed photo files enlarged and reproduced for framing. My recent contact with Fromex was over the phone, and the person I spoke with was patient in explaining that the photo file that I submitted for reproduction did not have enough pixels to reproduce an image with any kind of reasonable resolution. She was extremely kind and gave me information that was helpful.

Mar 02,2017I couldn't find anyone I thought would do a good job printing my B&W pictures locally so went to Fromex and was pleased with the results. The high quality prints were mailed to me the next day but took a week to get to NC from CA, so if you don't live in CA and aren't in a great hurry, I would definitely recommend Fromex.

Jun 29,2016My Photos turned out beautiful! I wanted to make them look older so I put them in the outside in the hot sun (95degrees) for 2 days, and they didn't fade or yellow. I'll have to think of something else. These photos are not prone to aging! The service is very fast, and the people there are very accommodating. I highly recommend this service.

Feb 22,2016I have half a boxful of Brownie (116 film) negatives from 1920 to 1950. They weren't the best quality when developed, and 80 years of rough handling have left their share of scratches and fingerprint marks. I scanned them in (1200 dpi) w/ an Epson V600 scanner, and used Picassa to convert to B&W and do some tonal adjustments (mainly just "auto contrast"); otherwise did nothing. The prints came out beautiful! Absolutely fantastic. Fromex can't correct for 1920 out-of-focus, 1930s light leaks around the edges, and 1940s scratches. But discounting that, the results far surpassed my expectations of what they would look like. Definitely coming back for more.

Feb 11,2016I happened upon Fromex True Black and White a few months ago looking for a quality photo print shop. My first order was delivered to my house within a few days. The prints were sharp and the contrasting grey was perfect. I've since placed more orders with the same results and service. I recommended Fromex to a college of mine whose work appears in international magazines and he too was extremely satisfied how quick and easy it is to get quality prints for a reasonable cost. Well done Fromex.

Jun 12,2017The black & white photos are great, and no color cast as stated. I don't think the crop tool online works though. Some photos are still cropped in the center, not the crop I specified.
