Only at Fromex True Black & White Prints do you get real Black & White photographic prints from your digital files.
Perfect as Always & in Every Way! Many Thanks!!!
I found this site by doing an internet search. I am not a professional photographer, just a customer that wanted a couple of B&W prints from his phone. I knew nothing about them but their site seemed to know their business. I uploaded two digital files and completed their online forms, which was easy. I received my two prints sooner than expected. THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL!! Will be sending in more in the next couple of days. Very satisfied with their work and service.
I am so relieved to have found you. I had my own darkroom for years but now it's impossible to find a photo lab, especially a black and white lab. The pictures are really really good, great tone and always the correct cropping. Thanks.
Easy to order, quality prints.
very quick turnaround, and I belive who ever did my order fiquered out that it was a test to compare my screen from printed results to achive better prints.
The paper is good and the tones are rich. I’m happy with the prints
So far I am having very little response from this company. I have emailed the company 3 times and also instagram messaged and no one is responding. Has anyone else had this experience. So far I’m disappointed with the customer service or lack of it. I’m hoping this attempt with work now.
Good quality prints and VERY fast turnaround.
The service was remarkable quick. I think the quality is very good as well. I got 5" x 7.5" B&W prints and appreciate that they have a 2x3 aspect ratio in this size to take advantage of my digitized 6x9 B&W negatives.
For years, we had gotten our True B&W prints from Mpix, but they stopped carrying that paper. I had to look for an alternative, if I could find one. For a quick background, I've been in digital image manipulation for over 45 years. At least 6 years before there was such a thing as Photoshop 1.0. And ran my own in-home business doing image work for both commercial businesses and the general public. In other words, I very much know how to color manage a system and use a high end monitor that has been properly calibrated and profiled. As a test, I sent in a handful of B&W images saved to Fromex's file requirements. I sent the same set of images to a competitor per their requirements. Both sets of prints came on the same true B&W, silver halide paper Mpix used to offer. The difference was, of course, the results. The competitor's efforts were half the price and matched my monitor almost exactly. The prints from Fromex, while nice, lacked the expected contrast and were more open in the midtones and three quarter tones than they should have been. The highlights and quarter tones were also rather flat. To be fair, most people probably wouldn't readily notice these differences if they weren't pointed out. I can't help noticing as dealing with high end clients for decades makes me push for the best possible results at all times. Final result? Fromex does pretty decent work, but it could be better, and shouldn't cost as much as it did.
Good quality, reasonable price, completed faster than expected, well packaged and arrived in good condition
The photos look great
Just received my print in the mail and I am thrilled. It is exactly what I was hoping for. Impeccable printing, done in a timely manner and perfectly packaged for safe shipping. A perfect service all around. Thank you Fromex!
Un travail impeccable. Équipe au top !
good service. Good looking Prints.
Wonderful prints in both 8x8 and 10x10.
Prints were darker than expected and the quality of the paper is not what I expected from Ilford gallery paper. I like the prints I got from my local CVS better.
Another order and another great set of prints. Thank you!!
The printing turn around was quick and the B&W photo came out professionally.

Apr 12,2024The prints were all very dark and low contrast. They bore little resemblance to the contrast and brightness of the files. I was a professional printer for many years and I worked for several years at Aperture Foundation in New York.
