Feb 14,2019A quick update: After this review, Fromex customer service reached out and sent me a set of 4x6 sample prints with my original images as well a set with the contrast boosted. Clearly boosting contrast didn't do anything to fix the problem but the unmodified prints were clearly better than the 8x12 prints I originally received. Clearly there was some problem with my original order and the reprint improved it. I updated the review and gave them 3 stars for the customer service but given the inconsistency I personally experienced I can't give them a higher rating. Very disappointed with the true B&W print quality. Printed some samples at multiple labs in 5x7 and 8x12 sizes. They came out very warm, not quite as bad as printing on regular inkjet but pretty obvious when sitting next to other B&W prints. The backs are nowhere near the depth and quality of other labs either and the price was almost twice as other options. Don't understand how the most expensive lab I used have the worse prints (short of Costco!).
